Homelander might be one of the evilest characters in The Boys, but Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar could give him a run for his money. It seems likely that the head of Vought International will be back for Season 4, but nothing is confirmed yet. However, MovieWeb reported on an interview with TVLine where Esposito teased “I think there is a great chance,” when asked if he would be reprising his role.

It seems inevitable that Giancarlo Esposito would be in The Boys Season 4, considering he positioned himself as an antagonist to Homelander. The finale of Season 3 saw Homelander outright murdering a civilian in public and getting cheered for it, so Edgar could easily be the next person in his laser-eye crosshairs. It would certainly be a weird plotline to drop out of nowhere, but anything could happen.

The Boys Season 4 is one of the most anticipated Amazon Prime shows, so any news is going to get people interested. While it’s not official that Esposito is going to be a part of the season, we do know that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has signed on for a recurring role in the fourth season. His character hasn’t been announced yet, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan is always a welcome presence.

We may even get something of a Supernatural reunion on The Boys Season 4 as Rob Benedict has also been announced to have a role. If Jensen Ackles ends up returning as Soldier Boy (something that is also unconfirmed at this point), we could see Morgan, Ackles, and Benedict all on-screen at the same time. This would definitely be a treat for people who are fans of The Boys and Supernatural.

The Boys Season 4 is also reportedly going to have bigger roles for Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) parents. Simon Pegg will reprise his role as Hughie’s father with Rosemarie Dewitt signed on to play his mother. Fans of the comics will remember that Pegg’s likeness inspired Hughie’s design in the comics, which is why it was such a spot-on casting choice.

Black Noir’s character is another big question mark going into The Boys Season 4. It was revealed that Black Noir was originally on Soldier Boy’s superhero team and that they tried to take him out. When Homelander found out that Noir was keeping secrets from him, he literally gutted Noir and left him for dead.

Showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed that Nathan Mitchell would be playing Black Noir again in The Boys Season 4, but that the person beneath the mask wouldn’t be the same. Fans of the comics might be guessing where they might take the story, but it’ll be interesting to see what they decide to do. Of course, there are many other big questions going into the fourth season, so that release date announcement can’t come soon enough.

The Boys Season 4 will also be bringing back Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Antony Starr as Homelander, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Laz Alonso as MM, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, and Cameron Crovetti as Ryan. If you can’t get enough of this twisted superhero franchise, you can also catch the spin-off Gen V later this year. In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on all things The Boys.
