Britney Spears took to Instagram to share a completely topless image of herself, in which she only wears a pair of tight shorts.
Oops, she did it again. That’s right, Britney Spears is back in full force on Instagram doing what she does best: sharing some vivacious nudes of herself. In one (of many) photo’s shared yesterday, the 40-year-old celebrated throwback Thursday a bit early, with an eye-popping photograph in which she can be seen wearing a short pair of faded jeans and covering her bare breasts with just her hands.
In perfect Britney fashion, Spears captioned the post in a way that completely ignores what’s on everyone else’s mind and focuses on something else. Speaking of a mysterious Rose, she notes that the chunky necklace she is wearing in the picture just so happens to be the same one she had on at the time she decided to share the photo. With nearly 500,000 responses, plenty of Instagram users took the opportunity to call out the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer, asking her to show some dignity and cover-up.
However, some users took the time to praise Britney Spears for seemingly ignoring all her nay-sayers and posting what she wants. And if history has proven anything, it’s that the pop icon surely isn’t bothered by her critics. She has been posting nude pictures of herself across social media for quite some time now.
When not posting cryptic messages accompanied by nude pictures, Britney Spears tends to stay busy these days. Other than celebrating the end of her long-standing conservatorship which found her father in control of the majority of her life, the celeb finally married her boyfriend of six years. Britney and Sam Ashgari enjoyed a wedding in their California home – without any of her family in attendance – and the pop star still frequently posts more images from their celebration and Honeymoon today.
She even signed a massive book deal this year. The partnership was reported by Forbes to place a cool $15 million into her pockets. The memoir is said to deliver all the juicy details of her controversial life and is set to come out sometime early in 2023.
But not everything has been roses and sunshine for Britney Spears. In May, she announced that she had suffered a miscarriage. Some have even speculated that the “Rose” in question she mentioned in her above Instagram post may allude to another lost pregnancy.
As for the musical side of things, the Toxic singer made a triumphant comeback to the industry as well in 2022. In August, Britney Spears released a song with legendary talent, Elton John. The two created a poppy remake of his 70s hit song, Hold Me Closer, and it quickly blew up music charts.
Now that Britney Spears is back on Instagram (again), we expect to see plenty of pictures of the pop musician, many of them likely to show the star au naturel. Some cringe at Britney’s eccentric behavior, but others embrace her crazy lifestyle. But one thing is always for sure, Britney certainly knows how to keep all eyes on her, and is likely to do just that for the foreseeable future.
