While Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard has a lot going on, viewers missed out on a deleted scene where Commander Worf and Riker had a brief conversation highlighting a key reason why Worf learned to keep his composure. Luckily, Twitter came through with a link to the deleted footage, granting keen insight into the Klingon warrior’s tumultuous past.

Trekkies far and wide have enjoyed Paramount’s addition of Star Trek: Picard to the long roster of the decades-old Star Trek Series, and the show aims to shed new light on the backgrounds and driving interests of many of our most beloved characters. Some might say that the best part of the Picard series is all of the backstories viewers are able to experience.

A deleted scene from Star Trek: Picard reveals Michael Dorn’s Worf revealing a shocking secret to his former Enterprise crew mates.

For those who love the Star Trek legacy but haven’t yet had a chance to sit down with the Picard series, Star Trek: Picard begins after the retirement of many of The Next Generation’s main players. As the show progresses, viewers get more insight into each character, a quick “where are they now,” and a few long-awaited answers to lingering questions.

The series does an excellent job of tying bits of Trekkie knowledge together, and fans of Captain Picard are able to see some of the big players of his Enterprise crew brought back to the screen. Riker, Worf, Crusher, La Forge, Troi, and even the beloved Data all make an appearance in the series, and utilizing the original actors for the parts is definitely the icing on the cake.

Seasoned trekkies have traveled a winding path to discover information about Picard’s family.

Some viewers were most excited about the injection of Seven of Nine into the cast, even though her character originated in the Star Trek: Voyager series. There was a bit of a crossover with the character in The Next Generation, though, when Picard faced his assimilation with the Borge and his mental battle with Locutus

In the third (and said to be final) season of Star Trek: Picard, fans have the joy of witnessing Captain Picard’s long-awaited reunion with his Next Generation Enterprise crew. As the crew is finally reunited, they work to uncover the identity of a mysterious enemy who is actively hunting Picard’s son.

Seasoned trekkies have traveled a winding path to discover information about Picard’s family. Over the years, the story has uncovered that Picard has a plethora of spawn in various places around the universe, but Picard Season 3 centers around Ensign Jack Crusher.

In past series, it is discovered that Jack has quite a colorful background. He didn’t grow up with Picard, and even more, he led quite a different life being labeled a criminal by Star Fleet and the Federation along the way. When Picard finds out that he has a son and that that son is a “criminal” he is truly dismayed.

As the crew is finally reunited, they work to uncover the identity of a mysterious enemy who is actively hunting Picard’s son.

However, the irony really shows itself in season 3 of Star Trek: Picard as the titular hero finds that the road he must travel to save his son leads him to a place where he himself is labeled an enemy of the Federation.
