Millie Bobby Brown might have been a breakout star with Stranger Things, but she’s ready to leave the series behind. Having played the character of Eleven for five seasons, she’s seeking more out of life beyond the Netflix series. Millie seems ready to move from the horror show.

“You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”

During an interview with WWD, Millie Bobby Brown briefly talked about how she felt about Stranger Things ending. Production of the final season is currently on hold due to the actor and writers’ strike. While she waits, Millie Bobby Brown expresses interest in finally finishing the series.

She told WWD that while the show has been a massive part of her life, it’s recently felt like being in her senior year of high school. Considering that she’s now 19, that’s an apt description.

As Millie Bobby Brown described to WWD, “You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”

With so much else going on in her life, could Millie Bobby Brown be making an early exit from Stranger Things?

A lot is going on in Millie Bobby Brown’s life that she’d want to move on from Stranger Things. The interview was conducted primarily based on her new fragrance and plans for her upcoming wedding. And that’s to say nothing of her future movie slate.

Millie Bobby Brown has been playing the character of Eleven since Season One of Stranger Things, debuting in 2016 on Netflix. As a science experiment with psychic powers, she became a crucial character in combatting the evils of the Upside Down.

Stranger Things was Millie Bobby Brown’s only TV role while she worked on her movie career between seasons. She would take on the titular detective role in 2020’s Enola Holmes and the 2022 sequel, Enola Holmes 2. She would also be prominent in the recent Godzilla movies Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).

Millie Bobby Brown has more projects that are currently in post-production. She can be seen in next year’s fantasy film Damsel, playing the lead of Princess Elodie. She’ll also have the lead role of Michelle in 2024’s The Electric State, based on the sci-fi graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag.

Millie Bobby Brown compared working on Stranger Things to being in her senior year of high school, and being impatient to leave it behind.

Outside of film and television, Millie Bobby Brown has other interests. She cares for multiple pets at home and has studied health and human services at Purdue University. She also probably wants to spend more time with her fiancee, Jake Bongiovi, the son of Jon Bon Jovi.

With so much else going on in her life, could Millie Bobby Brown be making an early exit from Stranger Things? That may all depend on when the final season returns to production, based on when the strike will resolve. If the strike continues longer, she might not be willing to wait around for the show’s conclusion.

Considering how popular and revered the show has become, Stranger Things will be a priority for Netflix. The retro horror series has received ten Primetime Emmy Award nominations and has continued breaking viewership records each season. The fifth and final season is likely to do the same.

Stranger Things Season Five is currently on hold with its production, with a Netflix release date yet to be revealed.
