Gal Gadot may be known for her titular role in the Wonder Woman franchise and her handful of appearances in the world of Fast & Furious, but soon the actress will be bringing even more high-octane action to Netflix in the upcoming feature, Heart of Stone. Backing the butt-kicking production and starring alongside Gadot, Tim Harper and Matthias Schweighofer, respectively, recently had a conversation with ComicBook.com and shared what other project from the streamer they’d love to see Heart of Stone do a crossover with. Jumping on the opportunity to answer first, Harper quickly said, “Army of Thieves,” kicking off a conversation surrounding the prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.
The director of Gal Gadot’s upcoming Netflix film Heart of Stone would love for the story to crossover with Army of Thieves.
While he may be joining the cast alongside Gal Gadot in Heart of Stone, Schweighofer served the other Netflix title as its director, meaning that he would have a direct link between the crossover should it ever come to fruition. Cheering his peer on to push the studio for what they referred to as a “crazy” project, Harper said, “This is the one we’ve got to make, you know?” before cheekily asking “Who directs it though?”
The prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead sees Schweighofer star as a bank teller named Ludwig Dieter who finds himself on a high-stakes adventure when a strange yet intriguing woman brings him on board a project that sees him teaming up with a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals.
Together, the team of misfits tries to pull off the heist of the century while they travel across Europe on a mission of cracking safe after safe. Along with Schweighofer, the feature also starred names like Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Jonathan Cohen, and Ruby O. Fee, meaning that if a crossover should happen with these names returning, throwing in Gal Gadot could really pack a punch.
Heart of Stone
As for the Wonder Woman star’s latest explosive feature, Heart of Stone centers on Gal Gadot’s Rachel Stone, a top agent in an MI6 unit who is on a secret mission to ensure that a piece of technology doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
While on her latest task, her cover is blown and Stone must find a way to stay alive while completing her goal and keeping the world fully intact. Along with Gadot and Schweighofer, Heart of Stone also stars Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, Archie Madekwe, Sophie Okonedo, Paul Ready, Jon Kortajarena, and Jing Lusi.
While the world may still be buzzing from the news that Gal Gadot would be returning to the role of Diana Prince in a new Wonder Woman movie, something that seemed out of the question following James Gunn and Peter Safran’s overhaul of DC Studios and Patty Jenkins bowing out after creative differences, it’s with Heart of Stone that audiences will next see Gadot back in her element – explosive action.
Fans can see it all go down when Heart of Stone arrives on Netflix on August 11 and get a taste of what could happen should it collide with Army of Thieves as the prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead is currently available on the streamer.
