Hot on the heels of a post that saw her in a pink corset and another in which that celebrated a throwback to a skintight dress, the Modern Family star shared a very up close and personal shot that sees her in a low-cut top. Enjoying a gorgeously sunny Saturday, Vergara shared her partying plans with her dedicated following.
While it’s all sunshine and rainbows for Sofia Vergara’s Saturday happenings, perhaps the best part about this image is her facial expression. Dazzling her followers in her latest outfit, the star looks less than pleased. Giving a dull and semi-lifeless stare to the camera, Vergara’s expression looks like she’s had the life sucked out of her and that this Saturday is, in fact, not a party.
Nevertheless, Sofia Vergara has plenty to smile about as not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but she’s also one of the most recognized talents of our time. Although she appeared in a slew of other projects, her career skyrocketed when she took on a role opposite the likes of Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, and Nolan Gould on the long-running sitcom Modern Family. For 11 seasons, the ABC mockumentary comedy series followed an extended family through the ups and downs of their lives, with audiences loyally tuning in week after week for the latest batch of wacky family hijinks.
Sofia Vergara’s success on the sitcom would not only launch her to stardom but would also see her as one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood during the 2010s and earned her bragging rights of hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live. Since then, and through the years of Modern Family, Vergara left her mark on the film industry in titles like New Year’s Eve, Hot Pursuit, and The Emoji Movie.
Although she’s taken a bit of a hiatus from the cinematic world, this year will see Sofia Vergara’s return to the screen alongside a star-studded cast in Josh Greenbaum’s (Becoming Bond) comedy Strays. Set to land in theaters in August, the film follows the sad beginnings of a Border Terrier named Reggie who’s left to fend for himself after his owner, Doug, drops him in the streets. It’s in his darkest hour that Reggie will find a group of fellow strays to call family as they go on an adventure to seek revenge on Doug.
Along with Sofia Vergara, the film also stars Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Jamie Foxx, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Harvey Guillén, Josh Gad, Brett Gelman, Jamie Demetriou, and Rob Riggle, with an appearance from Dennis Quaid as himself. If you like movies about talking dogs and comedic hijinks, this one sounds like it’s for you.
It’s been a long time since audiences saw Sofia Vergara take a leading role in a television production but that resurgence is also coming around the corner. The actress will next be seen in series capacity on Netflix in the crime drama, Griselda. The story will be a dramatized telling of the illegal and deadly activities carried out by the ruthless cocaine trafficker, Griselda Blanco, with Vergara stepping into the leading part. As of right now, no release date has been set.
