Exoprimal, developed by Capcom, is getting an update that brings about new content to the company’s dinosaur-demolishing multiplayer in the following weeks. Capcom’s team is already planning to roll out a new dedicated end-game PVE mode and show off new content and exosuits in a free update scheduled to launch in August.

The free Title Update 1 is set to launch on August 16 and will have ten new Alpha Variant Exosuits…

According to Eurogamer, Capcom confirmed that the free Title Update 1 is set to launch on August 16, complete with ten new Alpha Variant Exosuits, including an end-game PVE mode aimed at veteran players—which is ridiculous, considering that the game launched just over a week ago.

The new PVE mode is actually scheduled to arrive on July 28, allowing players to take on Savage Gauntlet in a special rotating weekly mission that follows the end of the game’s main campaign. This is a rather interesting way of keeping the game, such as Exoprimal interesting once the campaign is over.

It’s worth noting that the end-game PVE content isn’t a novelty in multiplayer games. Activision Blizzard’s World of Warcraft introduced the Mythic+ concept in 2016’s Legion expansion, with the intention to challenge end-game players with dungeons that scale upwards in difficulty.

It’s just the players versus dinosaurs; there are no rival Exofighters or dominators. Just the team and the respective mastery of each individual team member.

So, the new mode introduced to Exoprimal follows the same basic formula—it’s specifically designed to put a five-person end-game team to the test. It’s just the players versus dinosaurs; there are no rival Exofighters or dominators. Just the team and the respective mastery of each individual team member.

The new Exoprimal mode is obviously designed for pure end-game entertainment. However, more competitive players are bound to find the mode interesting as well due to the introduction of leaderboards, which would allow them to make the gaming experience even more competitive.

But that’s actually not all, folks. Apart from the new gaming mode coming to us next week and the new update in August, Capcom announced two additional updates (so three in total), as well as two collaborations with other Capcom titles.

The second Exoprimal title update will drop as part of Season Two of the game, bringing a new map, new rigs, modules, and a new final mission. More importantly, it will also bring the Street Fighter 6 collaboration during the season, though exact details still remain undisclosed.

The second collaboration will include the Monster Hunter title, and it will add additional exosuits, and Neo Triceratops, as part of Season Three. The fourth season has been teased, but no further details have been disclosed by the company.

Exoprimal is a novelty to the gaming market, as it was released more than a week ago to a somewhat lukewarm reception. Some reviewers liked the title, while others haven’t.

We say that it’s too early to tell. Cyberpunk 2077 was an absolute disaster turned mega-hit, Beyond Good & Evil was a commercial failure that gained a massive cult following over two decades, and Redfall still sucks.

So, while Exoprimal‘s reception isn’t something to write home about, Capcom is a respected game developer, and we might still get a few surprises down the line as both the game and its player base continue to grow.
