Spider-Man fans have been long aching for the reveal of a possible Spider-Gwen film. Even Tom Holland has lately been commenting on his future as the web-slinger and stated that the helm should and could go to Gwen Stacy. That would be an interesting development for the superhero. An Instagram user by the name of “Carpaa 2011” decided to create a fan poster for what Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man, might look like as Spider-Gwen.

To this person’s credit, the poster looks like the real deal, and it would be interesting to see Andrew Garfield return as side-by-side Spider-Man compatriots with Spider-Gwen. Since the multiverse has been cracked open by several Marvel properties, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, this could come to fruition. At the very least, Marvel would do well to hire this person, as the poster looks incredible. Garfield’s version of Spider-Man might not be the most widely accepted iteration, but fans were plenty pleased with how Emma Stone brought Gwen Stacy to life. You can see the poster below.

Spoiler warning for Spider-Man: No Way Home. If you have not seen the new Spider-Man film, look away from this paragraph immediately. Spider-Man: No Way Home certainly brought forth the idea of the multiverse, as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield both swung their way into the new film. The public has been offering their praise for Garfield to return as Peter Parker, and it has been heavily rumored that he may just do that for Sony’s Spider-Man universe. That could mean the incorporation of Spider-Gwen as well. She was part of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse storyline.

Marvel is going full-speed ahead with its multiverse plotlines for the foreseeable future, and that could bring in heavy implications for the rest of the Sony-made films. Morbius has yet to make his debut in the MCU. Morbius has yet to even premiere, but it is set to do just that in a month’s time. This whole cavalcade of Marvel and Sony films might just blend themselves together at one point and we could see Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) return as well, given that Andrew Garfield also returns.

It will be interesting to see where Marvel takes Spider-Man next, as the multiverse has blown open the possibility of all iterations existing at the same time. Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales might just be next on the docket for live-action if Tom Holland no longer wants to play his part. Though Emma Stone is one of the busiest actors, she would likely jump at the chance to have her own solo Spider-Man film, as tons of actors had their careers jump-started or revived through the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters right now, so fans can go see what all the excitement is about, and they can certainly gauge how and where Marvel takes their next phase of films. Emma Stone might have been part of the Spider-Gwen plans all along, we just haven’t seen it yet.
