Doja Cat may be known for her catchy, Grammy-winning music, but she’s also well on her way to becoming a fashion icon. Her Variety shoot posted on Instagram further cements this fact, as the photoshoot shows the artist in numerous different looks. Including some shots where she handles snakes while donning a nylon bodysuit:

Doja Cat’s Variety photoshoot is far from the only fashion statement she’s made lately. The pop superstar recently showed up to Paris Fashion Week adorned with 30,000 ruby-red Swarovski crystals. Apparently, these crystals took almost five hours to apply to her body, but the results speak for themselves.

Doja Cat donned the crystal look for Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show, which was inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Inferno. The mesmerizing look caught the eyes and attention of just about every news outlet. It’s clear that Doja certainly knows how to make a statement.

Although Doja Cat hasn’t released a full-length album since 2021’s Planet Her, she’s been absolutely crushing it in the music world regardless. She’s going into the upcoming Grammy Awards with an impressive five nominations. Chances are high that she’ll nab her second Grammy win after winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with SZA for “Kiss Me More” in 2022.

Doja Cat’s Grammy noms for 2023 include Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video for her song “Woman.” She’s also been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance again, this time with Post Malone, for the song “I Like You (A Happier Song).” Finally, she’s nominated for Best Rap Performance for the Elvis song “Vegas.”

“Vegas” appeared on the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated film Elvis starring Austin Butler. Although Doja Cat isn’t up for any Oscars for her contribution, the film her song is featured in is up for a whopping eight awards. Nominations for Elvis include Best Picture, Best Actor for Butler, Best Sound, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing.

Although “Vegas” won’t win Doja Cat any Oscars, it did have some other impressive achievements. As the single off the Elvis soundtrack, the song reached number ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 and reached number one on the Pop Songs chart. This achievement nabbed Doja the record for most number-one songs on the Pop Song charts among women this decade.

While we’ve heard Doja Cat on the radio plenty of times this year, many fans are wondering when she’ll go on tour again. Doja had to cancel all of her summer shows last year, including her appearance as a headliner at Lollapalooza, to recover from tonsil surgery. Fortunately, she has recovered and will hopefully be hitting the road again and performing live this year.

Many fans hoped to see Doja Cat return to Coachella after putting on a great performance at Coachella 2022. While the recently announced lineup is full of top-notch talent, such as Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and BLACKPINK, Doja is absent from the lineup. The Grammys have said that additional performers will be announced before the ceremony this Sunday, so maybe we’ll see her take the stage then.
