It didn’t take long. Gina Carano, two days after being notoriously and famously dumped by Lucasfilm and Disney, has just signed a new partnership with The Daily Wire to make movies.

“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true,” the former Mandalorian star told Deadline. “I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”

There are no details on what the movie will be other than Gina Carano will develop, produce, and star. The Daily Wire is looking to bolster its entertainment division, so the plan, for now, is to release the movie exclusively to its members. As the movie details are being kept under wraps, the production will be handled with Bone Tomahawk producer Dallas Sonnier and his Bonfire Legend company.

Ben Shapiro, who is the co-founder of Daily Wire, had this to say about partnering up with Gina Carano, “We could not be more excited to be working with Gina Carano, an incredible talent dumped by Disney and Lucasfilm for offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left. This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob.” Shapiro then added, “We’re eager to bring Gina’s talent to Americans who love her, and we’re just as eager to show Hollywood that if they want to keep cancelling those who think differently, they’ll just be helping us build the Xwing to take down their Death Star.”

Gina Carano was released from Lucasfilm and Disney for what was considered an anti-Semitic stance when she posted to her social media followers, “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views.” It was this post that finally caused Lucasfilm and Disney to say enough is enough.

Of course, Carano’s social media legacy can be called controversial, at best. Not known for backing down, something she learned from her brief MMA career, Carano has not so delicately lit up social media with her comments on masking (which she is against) and vaccinations (which she also opposes). She has fought many a battle on social media with those who don’t agree with her stance and as she became more vocal, so did her detractors. The cancel culture finally won out but appears only for a short time.

For his part, Ben Shapiro came to not only Carano’s defense on his The Ben Shapiro Show podcast but to the many across the United States who are feeling the wrath of the cancel culture. Social movements have consequences, and we are now in the middle of a mass social movement to expel half of the American population from the body politic,” Shapiro said via the Daily Wire. Shapiro added that Gina Carano’s firing has nothing to do with a good faith attempt at holding one accountable but more like a club that has decided to punish people for holding a certain opinion. “It is not about an honest attempt to cleanse the culture. It is not about an honest attempt to have discussion or conversation,” he said. “It is about, can we wrong-foot you so that we have an excuse to say that your entire career has been completely and utterly garbage and that you are a bad person, and so we feel good about excising you from the body politic. That’s all that is happening right now in the culture, and that is a big deal.”

Shapiro is promoting the Daily Wire’s move of bringing Gina Carano on board with a 25% off membership deal, one that Gina Carano promptly responded to, “This is just the beginning… welcome to the rebellion.”

It was just last month that the Daily Wire released their first feature film, a school shooter movie titled Run Hide Fight, that was produced by Sonnier and Bonfire Legend, telling the story of Zoe Hull, a high school senior, who just wants to finish off the last few weeks of high school and then head out for college. But then, four gun-toting students arrive to go down in history as the worst school shooting. Zoe is now in the fight for her life. The movie starred Isabel May as Zoe with Thomas Jane and Radha Mitchell as her parents.
