José Padilha and his team certainly seem to have a different mindset than J.J. Abrams when it comes to set securing, considering that almost every facet of RoboCop has already leaked in one form or another. New videos of RoboCop zipping up and down the streets of Toronto have surfaced, revealing how Joel Kinnaman’s stuntman loves to show off for passersby.
Also, new images of the “Detroit” city streets and cars used in RoboCop have leaked. The cars have been outfitted with snazzy, futuristic-looking Michigan license plates that appear to have QR Codes on them. It’s probably easier to scan a license plate in the future rather than type in the plate number manually. Check them out below…
The remake of RoboCop has more than a year before it’s due in theaters in February 2014, but if feels like the movie will be finished early considering how far José Padilha is in production. When RoboCop was pushed back from August 2013 to February 2014, it sounded like the remake felt might be losing steam in the public eye, which is probably why the production feels so lax when it comes to security on location.
RoboCop opens in theaters everywhere on February 7, 2014.
