The DeLorean, The TARDIS, And More Get Their Due In Classic Movie Vehicle Posters

Kevin runs the aptly titled MovieCarPosters.com, where you’ll find about 60 of these babies, representing sweet rides from the big and small screen, from blockbusters to quirky little cult classics. And while Kevin insists he’s “not an artist,” I’ll counter with what the Joker once told Vicki Vale: “I don’t know if it’s art, but I like it.”
After all, a picture is worth a thousand blah blah, and while the poster designs are simplistic, they’re also very effective. They’re designed to look like vintage race posters, and it’s all the little details that I really love, from the weathering, to the choice of logos or symbols to accompany the iconic silhouettes, to the “inception dates” down at the bottom. Plus, Kevin went to the trouble of adding a quote from the respective movie or show to each of the individual poster pages, and you gotta love a guy who goes the extra mile.
I also like that the collection does all the big obvious choices, but then also delves into vehicles beyond the ones you’d find populating any “Top 10 Movie Cars” list you could find on the Internet. I mean, Bucakroo Banzai’s Jet Car might not have the same immediately recognizable side profile, but damn if it doesn’t make for a cool poster.
The posters are all 11” x 17”, printed on glossy paper, and currently on sale for ten bucks a pop. Check out a few more of our favorites below, or click over to the website to see a ton more, including quite a few from beyond the realms of science fiction.
