Ted Lasso Season 3 is finally almost here. Apple TV+ (and various stars of the enormously popular soccer-based comedy-drama) announced that the third season of the show will premiere on Wednesday, March 25. To accompany the announcement, which is doubtlessly making fans of feel-good sports entertainment enormously happy, a teaser for Ted Lasso Season 3 was also released.

The teaser for Ted Lasso Season 3 is soundtracked to the song “I Still Believe” by English singer-songwriter Frank Turner (from his 2011 album England Keep My Bones), appropriate for a show that has made an undying sense of hope its calling card. As the song plays, we see the primary cast of the show (with one notable exception) in locker room contemplation over what appears to be an arts and crafts project involving construction paper. Each member of the AFC Richmond organization also gets their own little nod to their established character traits, which is fun.

For example, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) is shot from a much farther distance away than any other member of the cast, presumably indicating the arms-length that he keeps others at. Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) is handsome and dumb as ever, putting a felt marker in his mouth before realizing what he’s doing. Team owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) is eating one of the cookies (biscuits to the British) Ted Lasso makes her, which he apparently continues to do in Season 3.

Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), the new PR head of one of the team’s corporate sponsors, decorates her construction paper with tiny silver stars, like the star she is. Player Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh) is grinning broadly while in thought, befitting his good-natured character, while team captain Isaac McAdoo (Kola Bokinni) taps his chin with the scissors that make him the team’s messianic hairstylist.

Director of Football Operations Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift) gives his creation a chef’s kiss with the unexpected joie de vivre he has grown into in the journey to Ted Lasso Season 3. And finally, Dani Rojas (Cristo Fernández), the irrepressible Mexican star player, is shown smiling, which is pretty much all we could expect of the golden retriever of a man.

Near the end of the short Ted Lasso Season 3 teaser, it is revealed that each of the cast members has written “believe” (or in Dani Rojas’ case, “creer”) on their paper in their own style. Shortly thereafter, Coach Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and Coach Beard (show co-creator Brendan Hunt) stride into the locker room and take all the arts and crafts in. Notably, former assistant coach Nate Shelley (Nick Mohammed) is not seen, probably because he has defected to a rival team that can be described as “Galactic Empire-like.”

It seems that Ted Lasso Season 3 will likely be the final season of the critically acclaimed show, so hopefully, we go out on a note of the same optimism and faith in humanity that we have seen before. At the very least, it seems that AFC Richmond still believes.
