Even though I’ve been a fan of some of The CW’s shows for a while now– specifically Supernatural and Arrow — I was genuinely surprised when The 100 actually turned out to be decent, and improved over the course of its first season. Based on the YA novel of the same name by Kass Morgan, The 100 is set 97 years after a nuclear war nearly wipes out mankind. Our species survives thanks to the people who were occupying a group of space stations orbiting the planet. A century after the nuclear hellfire, a group of 100 juvenile offenders are dropped Earthside to see if the planet has become habitable. Suffice to say, they find a few surprises on the surface…including the fact that they aren’t alone…
The 100 kicks off its second season Wednesday night at 9/8c on The CW. The premiere carries the ominous title of “The 48,” which obviously doesn’t bode well for at least 52 people.
SEASON TWO BEGINS IN A DANGEROUS NEW WORLD — Picking up where the season one finale ended, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is still alone in the white room, frantically trying to make sense of her bizarre surroundings, while the fate of Bellamy (Bob Morley), Finn (Thomas McDonell) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) is still unknown. Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) and Octavia’s (Marie Avgeropoulos) daring plan is thwarted and an enemy returns. Meanwhile, Abby (Paige Turco), Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and the survivors of the Ark must face physical and moral dilemmas in their dangerous and beautiful new world. Finally, Jaha (Isaiah Washington) makes a heroic decision. Devon Bostick and Chris Larkin also star.
MONDAY
Gotham (Fox, 8/7c) — “Viper”
Gordon and Bullock are on the case when a new euphoric but lethal drug hits the streets. Elsewhere, Oswald Cobblepot integrates himself into Maroni’s inner circle; and Fish Mooney continues to set her targets on Falcone.
Sleepy Hollow (Fox, 9/8c) — “The Weeping Lady”
An undead Weeping Lady in Sleepy Hollow is actually a woman from Ichabod’s past who’s bent on destruction. Meanwhile, Katrina and Ichabod discover disturbing news about each other; and Abbie is surprised by flirtatious encounters.
Star Wars Rebels (Disney XD, 9/8c) — “Fighter Flight”
Ezra and Zeb steal an Imperial vehicle while on a simple errand.
TUESDAY
Face Off (Syfy, 9/8c) — “Creature Carnage”
The four semifinalists are given the task of creating giant city-crushing monsters.
The Flash (The CW, 8/7c) — “Things You Can’t Outrun”
Barry and the team go after the Mist, who possesses toxic gas powers, and they reflect on the night Caitlin’s fiancé died. Meanwhile, Henry gets a long-awaited visit from Joe; and Iris and Eddie continue to keep their romance a secret from Joe.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, 9/8c) — “A Hen in the Wolf House”
The team faces off against Hydra security chief Bobbi Morse. Elsewhere, Skye’s father seeks a reunion with his daughter.
Person of Interest (CBS, 10/9c) — “Prophets”
A talented political pollster’s number comes up, and when his normally accurate predictions start going wrong at the same time, Finch suspects a connection. Elsewhere, Capt. Moreno gives Reese an order that sidelines his work.
Town of the Living Dead (Syfy, 10/9c) — “A Zombie Baby Is Born/Don’t Mess With the Money-Maker”
’A Zombie Baby Is Born’ – Bryan experiences increased anxiety as he prepares for his first kissing scene; at the same time, the crew attempt to film the birth of a zombie baby; and Gary must ask his sworn enemy for a favor.
‘Don’t Mess With the Money-Maker’ – The crew upset the townspeople while filming a scene in the local cemetery; at the same time, Tina prepares for her acting debut by going on an insane diet.

Part 1 of 2. Jimmy is captivated by a woman claiming to be a fortuneteller. Meanwhile, Ethel receives surprising news.
Arrow (The CW, 8/7c) — “Corto Maltese”
Oliver tries to track down Thea in Corto Maltese as Diggle searches for a missing field operative. Meanwhile, Felicity adapts to her new job.
Nova (PBS, 9/8c) — “Ben Franklin’s Balloons”
The daring aeronauts of 18th-century Paris, who took flight in hot-air and gas balloons, are recalled. Included: recreations of key flights, including the first manned voyage on November 21, 1783.
FRIDAY
Constantine (Fox, 10/9c) — “Non Est Asylum”
A seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult gets pulled back into battling the worst hell has to offer in order to help the daughter of an old friend — and because there’s the slightest possibility of saving his own damned soul — in the premiere of this supernatural thriller inspired by the DC comic book series Constantine.
Grimm (NBC, 9/8c) — “Thanks for the Memories”
Nick adjusts to the loss of his Grimm powers and tries to figure out how to deal with Trubel as the fourth season opens. Meanwhile, Wu has an unpleasant flashback; a new group of Wesen come to Portland and steal people’s memories; Capt. Renard fights for his life; and Adalind’s desperation to find her child lands her in Prince Viktor’s clutches.
Haven (Syfy, 7/6c) — “Nowhere Man”
A paranormal trouble strikes just as the guys bring the Mara threat under control.
Z Nation (Syfy, 10/9c) — “Welcome to the Fu-Bar”
The survivors struggle to recover from a shocking death; and in Kansas they happen upon a gun show that makes the zombie apocalypse look calm.
SATURDAY
Doctor Who (BBC America, 9/8c) — “In the Forest of the Night”
Huge forests grow up overnight around the world and begin to overwhelm the Earth.
SUNDAY
Resurrection (ABC, 9/8c) — “Will”
Margaret proves she’s a force to be reckoned with when, to her displeasure, Barbara makes strides in mending her relationship with Fred and Maggie. Elsewhere, Bellamy’s situation grows more precarious as he struggles to keep his secret from Maggie, all the while taking desperate measures to deal with a strange virus that is spreading amongst the returned.

Rick and the group find themselves pitted against some nasty people.
