Star Wars Propaganda Posters Challenge You To Pick A Side

You know how the old saying goes: if you’re not with us, you’re against us. That might seem like an oversimplification in the real world, but things in the Star Wars universe are a lot more black and white. Are you supporting the brave underdogs of the Rebellion? Or are you backing the Empire, since they keep the hovertrains running on time and plus you’ve always thought you’d look sexy in one of those Stormtrooper uniforms.
These Star Wars propaganda posters were created by an artist going by the handle — at least on Tumblr — of “Patty McPancakes.” And who doesn’t love a good stack of pancakes? But never before have my pancakes also provided me with amusing, geek-friendly artwork worthy of slapping up on my wall.
I do have one nitpick, however. Wasn’t Darth Maul supposed to be Darth Sidious’ secret apprentice? Plus, he got bisected and pitched down a chasm before there even was an Empire, so it seems unlikely he’d be featured on a Rebellion propaganda poster. (I know, I know, Clone Wars brought him back to life, whatever.) Then again, maybe that’s not Darth Maul and I’m just racist for thinking all Zabrak look alike.
