The Author Speaks

Jason Aaron, known for his masterful storytelling in Marvel’s X-Men and Avengers series, expressed his excitement about the project. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no disputing the fact that Uncle Scrooge is one of the absolute greatest characters in the history of comics,” Aaron remarked on bringing the character to Marvel. “It’s one of the most mind-staggering thrills of my career to get to craft this epic cosmic adventure for the World’s Richest Duck.”

Scrooge-Above-All

UNCLE SCROOGE AND THE INFINITY DIME #1, will catapult Scrooge into a time-honored Marvel adventure, as he traverses the multiverse to thwart a twisted alternate version of himself, Scrooge-Above-All, from gaining unimaginable power and wealth. Alongside Scrooge, fans can expect appearances from beloved characters from the Donald Duck universe including Donald Duck himself, the adorable but mischievous triplets Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and friend of the Duck family, the anthropomorphic chicken Gyro Gearloose.

A Marvel/Disney First

Mark Paniccia, the editor overseeing the project, described the Uncle Scrooge and Marvel collaboration as a historic moment. It is certainly the first time a member of the Donald Duck universe has passed over the Marvel threshold (while similar, Howard the Duck isn’t part of the Duck family and doesn’t count). Paniccia stated, “Jason’s script is full of heart and humor with lots of action and some unexpected twists! The art team is delivering classic Disney magic.”

Uncle Scrooge Year One

Uncle Scrooge’s legacy in comic book history spans nearly eight decades, long before he was invited to Marvel’s publishing house. This wacky duck has been captivating audiences with his thrilling adventures and indomitable spirit since 1947 when he was introduced in Carl Barks’ Donald Duck comic Christmas on Bear Mountain. Since then, as he expanded from the pages of comics to the Disney stage, Scrooge McDuck has remained an icon beloved by readers and Disney fans of all ages.

Back To Bear Mountain

The upcoming one-shot promises to honor Uncle Scrooge’s legendary history while venturing into uncharted territory, delivering an epic narrative that only Marvel can provide. The oversized special will also reintroduce Christmas on Bear Mountain, allowing readers to relive Scrooge’s groundbreaking first appearance as he embarks on this thrilling new chapter.

As fans eagerly await the release of Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1, the stage is set for a historic moment in comic book history, as Marvel and Disney unite to bring Uncle Scrooge’s adventures to a whole new dimension.
