There’s simply no denying that Antony Starr’s Homelander is one of the most unhinged characters in all of television history. The Boys character is a blend of overwhelming pride mixed with incredibly low self-esteem, making him a textbook narcissist – but with laser vision. Throughout the Prime Video show’s three-season run, Homelander has made some terrible threats against his worst enemies and also supposed friends so please join us for a round-up of some of those craziest times.

Our peek into Homelander’s most bonkers moments on The Boys opens with him screaming at Aya Cash’s Stormfront. While the pair were sworn enemies at first, with Homelander fearing she would take his place on The Seven, their relationship turned into a deeply twisted romance until Stormfront’s death. Pointing out his gigantic demographic stretch in the most childlike way imaginable, Homelander tries to make himself feel better about the fact that the masses have taken a liking to the (at the time) newest supe to join The Seven.

Other clips show off Homelander’s biggest bit of beef – the deadly rivalry between him and The Boys’ group leader, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). With a dicey past packed with bad feelings between the two, any time the pair crosses paths, audiences can expect an explosive reaction. Such is the case in several of these moments with the duo exchanging heated words that lead to deadly face-offs.

And, don’t think for a second that if you’re on the same “team” as Homelander, you won’t feel his pure rage and fury. Other excerpts from The Boys compilation video see the sadistic supe turning on other members of The Seven including A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty). Flexing his laser vision to keep everyone in line, no matter how brave each supe thinks they are, they all back down when Homelander’s eyes begin to glow a vibrant red.

One of the most terrifying moments for fans of Starlight was when Homelander caught on to her double life as a member of the titular group of supe-fighting civilians. While she tried to appease her leader, Starlight knew that in an instant her life could be snuffed out for helping The Boys. Despite her almost run-in with death, Starlight went on to become a valuable asset to the team, with hopes of paying Homelander back for all the trauma he caused.

Think that just because you’re Homelander’s boss, you can keep a leg up on his insane and murderous antics? That’s certainly not the case in two clips that feature ex-Vought CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) and recently installed CEO Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie). The name of the game when it comes to The Boys’ biggest villain is appeasement and, if you can’t get on the appeasement train, you’re scheduled for a one-way ticket to an explosive confrontation.

Perhaps one of the most heartbreaking scenes during the third season is when Homelander guts Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) after he feels abandoned by the silent supe in the former’s fight against Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). While this bit didn’t make the cut, the emotional exchange between Homelander and his co-worker during which Homelander asks about his father did, and we see The Boys character lose another piece of his mind.

Finally, there’s Homelander’s tussle with a jeering man who stands on the side of Starlight, denouncing the radical steps that Homelander has taken during Season 3 of The Boys. In what will certainly come back to bite him during the upcoming fourth season, Homelander snaps after his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) is knocked by a projectile launched from the crowd. Taking things into his own hands, the clip cuts out just before Homelander lasers the man’s head off.

With so many absolutely insane moments created by Homelander during the show’s first three seasons, audiences can only expect to see more where that came from when The Boys returns for Season 4 in 2024.
