For now, let’s take a peek at just how Ms. Moriarty found her way to the set of The Boys.

WHAT IS ERIN MORIARTY’S AGE?

You may not believe this just by looking at her, but Erin Moriarty’s age can throw you off a bit, especially since has been acting for over 15 years. Now, the New York City-born actress didn’t jump immediately into professional acting, although it was something that she knew early on that she wanted to do. Ms. Moriarty was born in 1994 and her first taste of acting came as an 11-year-old when she starred as Annie in the musical.

It wasn’t until five years later that Ms. Moriarty would get her first professional acting gig. Erin Moriarty’s age was 16 at the time and found herself playing Whitney Bennett on the long-running soap opera One Life to Live. It took the actress a few years to really start making her mark. In 2011, she appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and in 2012 she starred in her first film, the Ben Stiller-Vince Vaughn-Jonah Hill comedy The Watch.

After starring as Vince Vaughn’s daughter in The Watch, Ms. Moriarty went on to another film, The Kings of Summer. After that, she played Natalie, the daughter of Radha Mitchell’s (Pitch Black) Marta Walraven in the 2013 TV series Red Widow. Unfortunately, the series lasted only one season. While Erin Moriarty’s age was younger at the time of these shows, she was starting to make her mark on the industry.

One more film, After the Dark, took her to True Detective, where she once again played a daughter. This time she was the troubled child of Woody Harrelson’s Martin Hart. Though Erin Moriarty’s age was 20 at the time of the series, she played a teenager for the story. That series led Ms. Moriarty right to Marvel’s Jessica Jones where she enjoyed a 7-episode stint as Hope Schlottman.

Erin Moriarty continued to find acting gigs that made great use of her baby-faced appearance and age. She was George MacKay’s love interest in Captain Fantastic and it was a role in which Ms. Moriarty was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. In Blood Father, she returned to playing a daughter (see where Erin Moriarty’s age is factoring in here?), this time to Mel Gibson. Her performance was given mixed reviews but didn’t stop her from once again playing a daughter in the horror film Within.

2016 was a busy year for the young Erin Moriarty whose age was now 22 years old. But Erin Moriarty’s age didn’t stop her from gaining more work. 2017 was just as busy as she appeared in three projects. 2018 was even busier for Erin Moriarty as she was part of four feature films that included The Miracle Season, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Driven, and Monster Party. All of it, though, was preparing her for her big role as Annie January.

Now that we are all caught up with her career, we can see that Erin Moriarty’s age is 27 years old. Shocking, right? You never would guess by looking at her.

WHAT IS ERIN MORIARTY’S HEIGHT?

Anyone who knows anything about the Garth Ennis/Darick Robinson comic book, The Boys, knows they are in for some wild entertainment. In fact, the comic was so wild that DC Comics was pretty uncomfortable with the anti-superhero nature of the stories Ennis and Robinson were producing, so the comic was canceled. Thankfully, it didn’t take Ennis and Robinson long to find another admirer of their work and Dynamite Entertainment picked it up. And considering this series isn’t for the youngsters, having Erin Moriarty’s age pushing 30 helped some in the casting. Though at Erin Moriarty’s age, she’s still among the youngest on the show.

But turning the comic book into a series was much more challenging than expected. The comic book told the story of superheroes who allowed their celebrity to corrupt them in ways that were most controversial and extremely graphic. Putting the cast together was key in making it all work and when Erin Moriarty reached the height of her career at still a young age and was given the role of Starlight. In this way, she knew she’d be standing next to some imposing co-stars. In this way, Erin Moriarty’s height was going to factor in at least a little.

Erin Moriarty’s height has her at a full 5’6” (5 foot 6 inches). While she is seen time to time paired on-screen with the 5’8” Dominique McElligott, who wonderfully plays Queen Maeve, much of her on-screen time comes opposite Jack Quaid, who measures slightly under 6 feet. As Season 3 starts (MINI-SPOILER ALERT), Ms. Moriarty is also spending a little more time with Antony Starr’s psychotic superhero Homelander. He measures in at a full 6’1”. Not to be outdone, nor would he need lifts, is Karl Urban who plays the almost as psychotic Billy Butcher. He and Mr. Starr can go toe-to-toe and eye-to-eye as Urban also stands in at 6’1”.

Of course, size shouldn’t matter when it comes to superheroes and in the big scheme of things, it doesn’t matter on The Boys. Balancing things out, if they really need balancing, is actress Karen Fukuhara, who plays the mute hero Kimiko Miyashiro. Ms. Moriarty, as does the rest of the cast, towers over Kimiko, who stands at a diminutive 5’2”. This makes one wonder if height will play any part in what may go down as the most controversial episode ever filmed for a TV series.

IT’S A HEROGASM

When “Herogasm” made its appearance in comic form, it was a jaw-dropper. The story centered around all the superheroes and their week-long orgy. Turning that into an episode not only had its challenges but also left more than a few regulars scarred. Chace Crawford, who plays The Deep on the show, commented via CBR, “I was only in it for a couple days of shooting. But I know Jack [Quaid] and Jensen [Ackles] got scarred. There’s trauma there.” Maybe even Erin Moriarty aged a bit during the filming.

Apparently, the episode pushes so many boundaries that even Antony Starr refuses to watch it. “I know that the fans of the comic were very interested to see that,” Starr said to GQ. “I’m kind of a prude, so I think I’m going to fast-forward through that.”

Erin Moriarty (age and all) is in full agreement with Crawford. As she told SlashFilm, “It was five days in a row, 12-plus hours a day, well over 12 hours, of just being surrounded by nudity. And it was pretty wild. I’d never been in a room with so many dildos, so many sex toys, so much nudity, so much simultaneous sex going on in all different ways. I had to do one scene with one character where I’m talking to him and he’s totally nude. So, I’m trying to maintain eye contact with him because that was on the first day and I’m still getting used to working around so many naked people.”

Although the first 2 plus seasons of The Boys (have you SEEN the season 3 premiere? Ouch!) have offered plenty of gore and nudity, from what Erin Moriarty has described, we may not be fully prepared to take in all of Herogasm. We know Mr. Starr won’t be. Viewers should be warned.
