Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 4 – Everything We Know

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is the current king of anime, based on the ninth-best-selling manga of all time; it has been running since 2019 and shattering records with each season; while Season 4 has just been announced, we already know a lot about what to expect. This is all we know from the first arc of the season and which Hashira will make their debut.
Demon Slayer Season 4 Will Adapt The Hashira Training Arc

Hailed by fans of the manga as the arc that changes the direction of the series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 kicks off with the Hashira Training Arc, which is about exactly what it says in the title. Desperate to unleash the power of the Demon Marks, the entire Demon Slayer corps undergoes rigorous training under the guidance of the Hashira.
While Tanjiro and his friends struggle to train under the Hashira, the demon lord Muzen isn’t sitting idly by and twiddling his thumbs. Nakime, the freshly promoted Rank 4 Demon following the death of Hantengu during the Swordsmith Village Arc, joins Muzen as he continues hunting down Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.
The Hashira Will Be Featured Like Never Before

While the Demon Slayers, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Insouke, and Nezuko progress in their training, all eyes will be on their teachers, the Hashira. In previous seasons, the greatest warriors against the demons have been in and out of the spotlight, but the Hashira Training Arc gives fans the best look yet at each of them.
Himejima, the Stone Hashira, takes over the training of Tanjiro personally, while the Insect Hashira, Shinobu, sits out the sessions. Reliant on her deadly poison, the Insect Hashira has nothing to offer the Demon Slayer Corps. While the backstory of Giyu the Water Hashira is finally given the spotlight, particularly his friendship with Sabito, last seen during the Final Selection Arc, similar to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 establishing Satorou Gojo’s tragic past.
The Infinity Castle Arc Is Likely To Start During Season 4

Given the length of the Hashira Training arc (only nine chapters) in the manga, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 will need to be padded with either filler episodes or the first section of the Infinity Castle arc will start towards the end of the season. The first part of the Final Battle storyline, the Infinity Castle Arc is the longest in the series, with a hefty 47 chapters. It’s safe to assume already that Season 5 will cover the rest of the arc, while Season 6 is the Sunrise Countdown arc.
Fans have been looking forward to seeing The Infinity Castle Arc get adapted into the anime ever since it was first published. With some of the greatest battles to ever be printed, the amazing animation of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is going to blow minds. As an example, here’s a fan animation that rivals other anime on the market:
When the Demon Slayer Corp descends on the Infinity Castle to take the fight directly to Muzen, it’s going to push the anime to new heights. It’ll be a few years before it’s available stream, but it’s worth the wait.
Light Novel Adaptations Might Be Part Of Season 4

In place of the standard anime filler episodes, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 may include stories from the light novels following the HAshira Training Arc’s conclusion.
There have been three light novels published to date, The Flower of Happiness was the first, containing five short stories set after the end of the Mount Natagumo arc that would all make excellent episodes.
“For Whose Sake,” about Zenitsu recounting the time he rescued a young girl from being sacrificed to a demon by her step-father, is ideal for a post-Hashira Training Arc episode.
One-Winged Butterfly and Signs from the Wind are the second and third light novels, and from these two, “Hotaru Haganezuka’s Matchmaking Session” would be an incredible slice-of-life episode to act as a cool down before starting the Infinity Castle Arc.
Given the lack of original anime episodes so far in the series, Ufotable bringing the light novels to life is going to be the likely course of action.
Demon Slayer Season 4 Could Release In 2024

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 is already in production, but there is no official release date. We can only speculate that it will be available in 2024, either in the Spring or Summer.
Given the stories being adapted, we estimate the season to be broken into two cours, one for the Hashira Training Arc, and a second covering the light novel episodes and the start of the Infinity Castle Arc.
Historically, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba hasn’t had many delays, with the worst coming when Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train was being produced at the same time as Season 2. Given there’s no movie currently in development, Season 4 should arrive on schedule. Exactly when that is, though, remains a mystery.
Season 4 Will Stream On Crunchyroll And Funimation

The entire Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series, including Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train can be streamed on Crunchyroll or Funimation, in dub or sub format, but it does require a premium subscription. While Seasons 1 and 2 can be found on Netflix and Hulu.
If you want to watch Season 4 as it’s released, Crunchyroll and Funimation are the services to use. With no official release date, though, we’re speculating on which service will have Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 at the earliest, but given the history of past seasons, it’s a safe estimate to make.
