Demon Slayer’s Best Anime Arc Isn’t The One You Think

Demon Slayer is a great show, and most, if not all, of the arcs are entertaining and fun to watch. However, the Entertainment District Arc is by far one of the best. This arc stands out for several reasons, including the fights, the comedy, and the enemies themselves.

The Entertainment District Arc

There are 12 arcs for Demon Slayer, with nine already adapted into anime. These include the overarching Unwavering Resolve Arc, made up of six smaller arcs known as the Final Selection, Kidnapper’s Bog, Asakusa, Tsuzumi Manion, Mount Natagumo, and Rehabilitation Training. The Mugen Train, Entertainment District, and Swordsmith Village Arcs have also been adapted.

Out of these, the Entertainment District Arc is the best of the Demon Slayer anime. It doesn’t hit the emotions as hard as the Mugen Train Arc does, but it has so much more going for it.

Comedy Plus Drama

Most of the arc is tension-heavy. The Sound Hashira is desperate to save his wives, and there are a lot of close encounters as the group tries to figure out what is going on. Even the fights are epic, with the classic Ufotable style dialed up a notch for the big scenes.

Despite the tension, the story has plenty of hilarious moments to break it up. Not only do Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke dress up as girls (poorly) to blend into the entertainment district, but Tengen, the Sound Hashira, and his wives also provide comedic relief.

While this season of Demon Slayer is good for many reasons, I find it to be an amazing arc due to the comparison between siblings. You have Tanjiro and Nezuko both working hard to get better and protect one another while still saving the innocent.

Memroable Villains

On the other side of the coin, you have Gyutaro and Daki. These are two siblings who were left on their own to survive together, but instead of a mutual push to do better, they pulled each other down. They don’t work on getting better and stronger like our two main siblings in Demon Slayer, but they look down on others and blame one another when times get tough.

It was a stunning comparison that highlighted how Tanjiro and Nezuko support each other and the strength of their bond. Though we already knew that the two loved and supported one another, this comparison further shows how much stronger the two are together.

I’m not the only one who thinks this is the best season. It has the highest rating of all Demon Slayer seasons on MAL and the most top-rated episodes on IMDb.

The Next Season May Take The Crown

While the Entertainment District Arc is the best I’ve seen in the Demon Slayer anime to date, it might not be the best one forever. Though there are only three arcs left to adapt, one other arc might end up the winner. If done right, the Infinity Castle Arc will likely be the very best adaptation of the manga.

Without spoiling too much, this is the final fight of Demon Slayer. All of the Hashira are on the top of their game, avenging their loved ones and attempting to take down the big boss, Muzan. The arc is jam-packed with fight scenes and all sorts of different fighting styles; it’s sure to be gorgeous if done right with Studio Ufotable’s animation style.

The Wait For Season 4 Is Almost Over

Season 4 of Demon Slayer comes out in roughly a month, May 12. Right now is a good time to get caught up on all the previous arcs if you haven’t done so already, or just go back and watch your favorites so you’re nice and hyped when the time for the next season comes. The newest season will focus on the Hashira Training Arc from the manga, allowing Tanjiro to get stronger and fans to learn more about the Hashira.
