Clint Eastwood Casts The Best Comic Book Movie Actor Of All Time In Juror No. 2

Eastwood is making the film at Warner Bros and is also producing the film through his production company, Malpaso.

Clint Eastwood’s Juror No. 2 is a legal thriller that follows a juror named Justin Kemp (Nicholas Hoult) who deals with a moral dilemma while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial.

What Kemp discovers could change the outcome of the jury’s verdict and either convict or acquit the accused. JK Simmons will play another one of the jurors. 

While Clint Eastwood is directing Juror No. 2, the script was penned by Jonathan Abrams. The rest of the cast’s roles have also been revealed.

The film stars Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette with an ensemble cast that includes Gabriel Basso, Zoey Deutch, Leslie Bibb, Chris Messina, and Kiefer Sutherland.

In addition to Hoult’s starring role and JK Simmons as another juror, Toni Collette will play the prosecutor, Gabriel Basso will play the accused, and Chris Messina will play the public defender.

Plus, Zoey Deutch will play Hoult’s wife, and Kiefer Sutherland will play Hoult’s AA sponsor. 

Along with Clint Eastwood, the production team also includes Tim Moore and Jessica Meier of Malpaso, along with Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena of Dichotomy.

In the meantime, JK Simmons will be staying busy with the numerous other projects he has on his plate.

Most recently, Simmons reprised his role as Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man, in the acclaimed animated Prime Video series Invincible, which finished airing the first half of its second season recently.

We’ll hear JK Simmons return as Omni-Man in Invincible again when the series returns from its midseason break in 2024.

Simmons also once again reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson in 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse, proving that there really is no one else who can play the role as well as him.

Simmons even popped up as the voice of General Ketheric Thorm in this year’s Game of the Year winner, Baldur’s Gate III. 

Along with Clint Eastwood’s Juror. No 2, JK Simmons also has multiple live-action films coming in 2024.

His upcoming thriller You Can’t Run Forever is directed by his wife, Michelle Schumacher, and will follow a teenage girl who finds herself the target of a murderous sociopath when she gets lost in the woods.

Simmons will also star alongside Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry in the Netflix action thriller The Union, which follows a construction worker who finds himself embroiled in the world of super spies and secret agents.

2024 will also see the release of JK Simmons’ highly-anticipated Netflix project Red One alongside Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Bonnie Hunt, and Dwayne Johnson.

There’s no word on an official release date for these films yet, but they’re all expected to touch down in 2024. Stay tuned for more news on this and other projects from Clint Eastwood and Simmons.
