Dwayne Johnson Reveals Horrific Car Accident Image
Dwayne Johnson shares the terrifying photo of his mother's car after she survives an accident.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mom has been in a horrific car accident. The Black Adam actor took to Instagram on February 2 to show a picture of his mom’s crushed car and thank the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department for helping his mother after the incident. Johnson’s mother survived the crash and will continue to be evaluated for ongoing injuries.
Dwayne Johnson posted a photo of the car accident (seen above) which shows his mom’s Cadillac SUV completely mangled. The right front fender of the vehicle was completely torn off in the crash, and the hood and bumper of the car were left smashed and totally beat up. Luckily, his mom, Ata Johnson, survived the car accident apparently unscathed, with the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor saying that she was “OK.”
Dwayne Johnson took the opportunity of the car accident to share on Instagram his love for his mother and describe how she is a survivor. The actor explained how his mother has survived lung cancer, a difficult marriage, and now this car accident, which was apparently caused by a drunk driver somewhere in Los Angeles. Johnson ended his Instagram post with a reminder for his followers to love their parents “hard” because no one ever knows when they might lose them.
Evidently, Dwayne Johnson’s mom experiencing this car accident was an emotional reminder for the actor of mortality. Ata Johnson is the actor’s only remaining parent, as his father died of a heart attack in 2020. Johnson’s post was a humbling reminder for a lot of people, and many of his followers took to the comment section to post thoughts and prayers as well as comments about loving and missing their own parents.
It has always been apparent that Dwayne Johnson was a family-oriented man, even before the post about the car accident. Last summer, the Hobbs and Shaw actor shared a video, also on Instagram, of his mother getting emotional after he gifted her what he called her dream home. In the post, Johnson described how he has gifted his mom a few houses over the success of his career, but this last home, which took him and his team eight weeks to design, was made to fulfill his mother’s dream of finally settling down.
A new home is not the only extravagant gift Johnson has given to his mother. Last year, Dwayne Johnson also surprised his mom with a new car (not the one that was in the car accident), a surprise that also left Ata Johnson crying tears of joy.
In the actor’s most recent Instagram post, Dwayne Johnson thanked God for his mother’s survival and claimed that angels had been watching over her while she was in the car accident. Dwayne Johnson has said in the past about how he was raised primarily by his mother and grandmother, who taught him the integrity that the actor lives by today, including his family-oriented values.
Dwayne Johnson is married to Lauren Hashian and has three daughters, ages 21, 7, and 4.
