Scientists Discover Radio Bursts Coming From Possible Aliens
Researches believe that a specific fast radio burst (FRB) from a far away galaxy could be a signals from alien life.
Since our collective resurgence of interest in aliens following the possible UFO sightings earlier this year, it seems like everyone around the world has been weighing in on when and if we will ever be able to make contact. It absolutely makes sense that we would be wondering about life beyond our own world with sightings of odd space crafts happening not only in airspace in the United States and Canada but even in other countries including Uruguay. According to The Daily Mail, scientists think that extraterrestrials are really trying to communicate via radio signals that have so far remained a mystery to us.
Dubbed fast radio bursts (FRBs) by the scientific community, these speedy signals were first discovered 15 years ago but are still stumping researchers who are struggling to locate their point of origin. Essentially, the FRBs are dazzling flashes of bright lights that are picked up by radios on the electromagnetic spectrum. Because we’re unsure of who or where these flashes are coming from, an alien race may be attempting to make first contact with us.
Unfortunately, alien truthers and enthusiasts shouldn’t be getting too excited yet as a new study seems to shoot the theory of attempted interaction right out of the skies, with researchers believing that the flashes are more likely to be caused by something like a black hole. The latest finding came from an FRB known as 20190520B which is thought to be located outside of a metal-poor dwarf galaxy that’s located a whopping three billion light-years from Earth.
It’s here that scientists are uncovering the secrets of alien life to be nothing more than a black hole or a magnetized neutron star aka a magnetar, that’s causing its frequency because it exists next to a huge star with very strong winds. But, at the same time, they can’t be entirely sure as after all the data was taken in, both possibilities don’t perfectly match the signals they’re receiving. This doubt stems from the signal being changed two times during their testing which would take something like a “turbulent” force to give it a new direction.
Another part of this FRB mystery is how it sent out multiple signals, versus others which seem to all be singular events. Typically, they’re caused by a giant explosion or something of the like, but less than 5 percent of the discovered FRBs have been recurring. So, it still could be aliens!
As far as where this leaves us with discovering alien life, it doesn’t seem to be a massive step forward, and with other researchers claiming that it will still be a long wait until we make contact with extraterrestrials, it would seem as though these FRBs are nothing more than giant explosions in the furthest reaches of space.
But, with many more folks such as this Navy pilot stepping forward to claim that they’ve witnessed alien activity, there’s still a possibility that first contact could be made within our lifetime. We’ll just hope that the extraterrestrials don’t have ill will for us because right now, it doesn’t seem like our air force is up for the task.
