Jack Harlow is the 24-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer who has lit the music world on fire. With songs like What’s Poppin and its remix with rappers Tory Lanez, DaBaby, and Lil Wayne and which received a huge boost from its TikTok popularity, Harlow has consistently climbed the charts.

There is one thing, though, that continues to bewilder many when it comes to the popular rapper – just what is Jack Harlow’s height?

JACK HARLOW IS EITHER 5’9” OR 6’3”

For the longest time, and still, even now, Jack Harlow’s height has been a source of contention. Some publications have the talented rapper standing a full 5’9”. Other publications have Jack Harlow’s height as a towering 6’3”. So, what gives?

The simple answer to that question is that no one really knows what gives, or at least where the 5’9” comes into play. During the 2022 Met Gala, Jack Harlow’s height came into question after he was photographed with a number of different stars and celebrities, many of which he rose above. It had many fans wondering just how tall Harlow was as many had Jack Harlow’s height pegged at 5’9”.

Obviously, if you have seen Jack Harlow, you can immediately see that he doesn’t dominate the height category like some famous basketball players such as Shaquille O’Neal, but the man is not short. From all appearances, Jack Harlow’s height stands much closer to the 6’3” frame than he does the 5’9” diminutive size.

Take a look at his video Nail Tech (if you can stand the music) and you will see in some shots, he definitely appears to be on the taller side of the ledger.

If that video doesn’t get you a clear picture of Jack Harlow’s height, perhaps his Industry Baby video will. In it, Harlow collaborates with Lil Nas X, and the two stand side-by-side at one point. According to The Sun, Lil Nas X rises to 6’1” or 6’2”.

The video clearly shows both Harlow and Lil Nas X virtually the same height with only Lil Nas X’s hairdo giving him the slight height advantage. So, the 5’9” estimation looks to be way off. Of course, there are always ways to make actors look taller than their actual height, Hollywood has done this plenty of times.

JACK HARLOW IS THE NEW WOODY HARRELSON IN THE WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP REMAKE

Most of you know the name, Woody Harrelson. The 61-year-old actor has been in a number of popular films (Natural Born Killers, Zombieland, The People vs. Larry Flynt) and television series (Cheers, True Detective) but one of his most famous roles came in 1992 when he played Billy Hoyle opposite Wesley Snipes’ Sidney Deane in Ron Shelton’s hit White Men Can’t Jump. The film told the story of two basketball hustlers who at first try to out-hustle each other, then decide to team up to grab a larger prize.

Now, Jack Harlow is about to make his feature film debut in the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, taking over the role that Harrelson made so famous. Jack Harlow’s height will be on full display as he will be opposed by actor Sinqua Walls (Friday Night Lights, Power, The Secret Life of an American Teenager).  The story, though, while being called a remake, sounds like it will differ from the original.

White Men Can’t Jump is being brought to the screen by screenwriters Kenya Barris and Doug Hall and is being produced by NBA star Blake Griffin, former NFL lineman Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein, who have formed the company Mortal Media. The story tells of a young man, Kamal (Walls), who was supposed to follow in the footsteps of his NBA legend father, but a series of bad choices and an anger issue changed his path.

When hipster white guy Jeremy (Harlow) challenges him to a shootout, Kamal sees an easy target, but soon realizes that Jeremy is another guy who missed out on a dream.

How close to the original Ron Shelton movie director Calmatic (House Party remake) decides to venture remains to be seen. What is impressive about Harlow’s co-lead role is that the popular rapper has never acted in his life (though he has shot numerous music videos) but won over producers, Calmatic and especially Barris, during his first-ever audition.

It didn’t hurt that Harlow had already shown he had game when he played in the Celebrity Game during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.

NBA REFEREES HAVE NO IDEA WHO HE IS

Before Jack Harlow’s height became such a big subject, many wouldn’t be at fault if they were as perplexed as NBA referee Scott Foster, who earlier this year went viral for simply asking the question, “Who is Jack Harlow?” It was during a Boston Celtics-Milwaukee Bucks playoff game and for many, it was a legit question. Foster didn’t realize his mic was still on, as did his partner, Ed Malloy, who answered, “I have no idea.”

Harlow had been at the game and Foster was able to point him out to Malloy telling him, “He’s the guy over here, right here…He’s in that white shirt, behind you.” This prompted Malloy to ask the question, “Yeah, who is he?” to which Foster replied, “I don’t know. Go ask him.”

Neither did, but when Jack Harlow heard the exchange, his funny personality shined as he took to Twitter to help out the stumped NBA referees. “Clearly these mfs have never seen Narnia,” Harlow replied to the video clip, referring to the many who have said Harlow resembles Mr. Tumnus from the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. You can see the entire exchange below.

You can’t blame Foster and Malloy for not knowing Jack Harlow. His music more than likely doesn’t fit in their particular wheelhouse and Jack Harlow’s height is probably of little concern to them. You have to admit, though, that is a pretty hilarious back-and-forth.

With White Men Can’t Jump hits Hulu on May 19, 2023, and you will finally get a chance to decide for yourself where Jack Harlow’s height lies.

Until that time, you can see Harlow in one of many videos, and you can listen to his debut CD, That’s What They All Say (released in 2020), and his sophomore effort, Come Home the Kids Miss You, which received a May 2022 release. Jack Harlow’s popularity, along with his height, continues to grow.
