White Men Can’t Jump is yet another classic film that is being rebooted. The casting announcements so far have been quite a bit odd. Jack Harlow, the famed singer, is taking over the main role that was once inhabited by Woody Harrelson. It was also announced that Sinqua Wells would be taking over the role that was played by Wesley Snipes in the original film. Slowly, more casting announcements have been revealed in these past few months. Now, a fan-favorite actor from Euphoria has officially joined the remake. That actor is none other than Zak Steiner.

Zak Steiner has appeared in Euphoria as Aaron Jacobs, who is the older brother of Jacob Elordi’s character Nate. Steiner has appeared in six episodes of the famed HBO series. Now, the man has joined the White Men Can’t Jump reboot in an undisclosed role. He joins the expansive cast that includes Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Tamera ‘Tee’ Kissen, Myles Bullock, and Vince Staples. The film sounds like it is going to be quite a different take on a classic comedy.

White Men Can’t Jump celebrated its 30-year anniversary during this year’s Academy Awards. Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson, and Rosie Perez reunited for the occasion and presented an award at the ceremony to usher in the celebration of the film. Woody Harrelson recently spoke about the reboot and ushered in his acceptance that the film was being done. In fact, the actor went on record to say that the new reboot might just be better than the original. This is surprising considering it is one of his better films. But hey, if the new director can do something new with the idea and make it work, then there should be no issues. There is no telling how Zak Steiner is going to fit into the storyline.

Oddly enough, the director of the film is a famed music video director that goes by the name Calmatic. Calmatic most recently completed his directorial debut by rebooting House Party for New Line Cinema. He is currently filming the White Men Can’t Jump reboot, with Zak Steiner being added to the cast that already includes heavyweights like Lance Reddick and J. Alphonse Nicholson.

The White Men Can’t Jump reboot is still being filmed, per the official IMDB page. So, we are likely not going to be seeing the film come out anytime this year. However, crazier things have happened. The remake could end up on a streaming platform, which might rush things a bit more. However, the likelihood is that this new reimagining is going to be gracing our movie or television screens sometime early next year.

We are interested to see what Calmatic is going to do to reinvent arguably one of the best comedies of the 1990s. Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson were fantastic together in White Men Can’t Jump, and hopefully, Jack Harrow and Sinqua Wells can have the same time of hilarious banter that Snipes and Harrelson had. We will just have to wait and see.
