Star Trek Episodic Poster Designs Now Available As T-Shirts

Every once in awhile, somebody gets a Really Good Idea. One of my very favorite recent Really Good Ideas was when artist Juan Ortiz got the idea to spent a year designing retro-style posters for each and every episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. He’s releasing a new batch every month, and they are, if I may say so, freakin’ awesome. Here’s his poster for “The Trouble With Tribbles.”

You can already buy your very own copies of the posters to deck out your office or man cave (or lady cave, we’re equal opportunity around here), and now somebody had a lightbulb go off above their head and realized, “Hey, these would look really good on a t-shirt.” And lo, was it made so.

You can pick up T-shirts over at the oddly named WeLoveFine.com, which has plenty of other Trek designs to fill out your wardrobe as well. The only down side is that it doesn’t look like all of the designs are available, at least not yet. So far you can get shirt versions of Ortiz’s prints for the following episodes:

  • “And the Children Shall Lead”
  • “Balance of Terror”
  • “Charlie X”
  • “Dagger of the Mind”
  • “The City on the Edge of Forever”
  • “The Ultimate Computer”
  • “The Way to Eden”
  • “Wink of an Eye”

You can check out all of the t-shirt designs below, and we’ve got the latest batch of print designs right here. Presumably the latest designs will be available later on, in case you’re hungering for a “Tribbles” shirt. And be sure to keep an eye on GFR at the beginning of the month for the next group of prints.
