The Best Netflix Shows Coming Back In 2024 For Another Season

By Douglas Helm | Published

There are tons of new and returning Netflix shows each year. So many, in fact, that it can be a bit difficult to keep up. Which is why we’ve highlighted five of the best returning shows in 2024 so you know what to look out for.

All five of these great shows are returning to Netflix for another season this year. Make sure you’ve got them in your list.

Arcane

Arcane came out of nowhere in 2021 and surprised everyone with its incredible animation and gripping story. While The Last of Us got a ton of (deserved) praise for being a genuinely good video game adaptation this year, Arcane actually beat it to the punch by pulling from League of Legends lore to make something amazing. Finally, Arcane will be returning to us in November 2024 and continuing the story of Jinx, Vi, and the rest of the denizens of Piltover and Zaun.

Black Mirror

Black Mirror returned from its hiatus in 2023 with Season 6, which brought us some great new episodes like Joan is Awful, Beyond the Sea, and Demon 79. While the episodes can range in quality from season to season, you can always count on Charlie Brooker and his team to bring us at least a few incredible episodes with buzzy casts to take over the zeitgeist for a while. Season 7 started filming in 2023, so you can almost guarantee we’ll be seeing new episodes sometime this year.

Cobra Kai

Who would have guessed that a spin-off Karate Kid series could be so good? The formula of bringing back William Zabka as an aged Johnny Lawrence to train a new batch of kids at the Cobra Kai dojo turned out to be a winning one, and now the series will come to a (hopefully) satisfying end. With the sixth season being the final one, expectations are definitely high, but Cobra Kai has proven time and time again that it’s more than up to the task.

Sweet Tooth

The sweet, whimsical, and surprisingly dark fantasy series Sweet Tooth will also be coming to an end with its third and final season in 2024. The all-ages epic will end the saga of Gus, a human-animal hybrid who lives in a post-apocalyptic world where his kind is often hunted. There will be eight episodes in total to end the series, giving the show plenty of room to breathe and wrap up the story.

Stranger Things

While most of the shows on this list are tentatively set to come out sometime in 2024, Stranger Things still has a big question mark over its ultimate release date. Like Cobra Kai and Sweet Tooth, Stranger Things is also wrapping up its run with its final season, though it’s possible that Netflix could end up splitting it up like it did with the highly acclaimed fourth season.

One thing is for sure: there are going to be millions of people waiting and watching to see the ultimate fate of Hawkins and the loveable cast we’ve been watching since 2016, and the Duffer Brothers have more than proven they’re capable of wrapping things up in an epic way.
