The announcement was made during the company’s first-quarter earnings call on February 7, a week after the conclusion of the first season. Author Rick Riordan, co-creator of the series alongside Jonathan Steinberg, is equally thrilled about the upcoming season. “I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!” Riordan’s involvement ensures a faithful adaptation of his novels, a factor that has resonated positively with fans.
