Rounding out the new Among Us quartet, Wayne Knight, famous for his iconic role in Seinfeld, lends his voice to ‘Lime’ – Engineer, a character with a penchant for conspiracy theories and an aversion to intimacy.

The Story

The plot of the Among Us series is based closely on the game’s premise where crew members must uncover an alien shapeshifter among them before it’s too late. Just like the online game the series promises to deliver suspense, intrigue, plenty of twists and turns, and probably a lot of hilarity and shenanigans.

The Creators

Among Us is spearheaded by creator Owen Dennis under an overall deal with CBS Studios. It’s currently in development with no network or streaming platform attached as of yet. Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ animation arm, is collaborating with Innersloth to bring the animated adaptation to life.

Behind the scenes, the Among Us creative team features an impressive lineup, with Dennis serving as creator and executive producer alongside Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth. Animation studio Titmouse, known for its exceptional work, is set to handle the animation duties under the leadership of Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.

The Game

Among Us the game took the world by storm upon its release in 2018. The game unfolds in space-themed environments inhabited by colorful, armless cartoon astronauts. Players assume one of two roles: the majority are Crewmates, whereas a select few are designated as Impostors.

In Among Us, Crewmates engage in completing assigned tasks throughout the game, all while attempting to identify and eliminate suspected Impostors through social deduction. Conversely, Impostors strive to eliminate Crewmates covertly. The game draws inspiration from the party game Mafia and the science fiction horror film The Thing.

The Game’s Popularity Is A Good Sign

With over 500 million monthly active users and billions of views on YouTube and Twitch, the game’s popularity shows no signs of waning. Having dominated charts across the globe and recently introducing a new map, “The Fungle,” Among Us continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its engaging gameplay and thrilling social dynamics.

As anticipation builds for the Among Us animated adaptation, fans eagerly await further updates on its development, eager to embark on another thrilling journey aboard the spaceship where trust is scarce, and betrayal lurks around every corner.
