In case we needed another reason to love Guardians of the Galaxy franchise star Pom Klementieff, the actress shared a video of her in the zone during her favorite pastime – skydiving. In a compilation video for Instagram, that you can see below, Klementieff previously shared the clip to ring in her birthday in May of 2022. After making some changes to the post, it found itself back in the algorithm, with the Thunder Force star dazzling her followers all over again as she twists and turns through the sky.

The video sees Pom Klementieff taking multiple leaps of faith out of vessels flying through the sky. From tiny planes to hot air balloons, nothing is off limits for the adrenaline junkie as she flips, dives, and sails her way back to the ground. The best part about all of this is that she’s confidently jumping alone meaning that she took the time and spent the money on becoming a certified skydiver – a very useful skill to have in her industry.

While we can’t be sure, it’s more than likely that Pom Klementieff’s skydiving certification impressed her Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning co-star Tom Cruise. Known for his DIY mentality when it comes to all things high-risk stunts, knowing that Klementieff was just as much of a fearless performer as he is no doubt helped the Top Gun: Maverick star pour all of his trust into his co-worker. Likewise, now knowing that she has what it takes to fully immerse herself in whatever feat is thrown her way, it’s clear that Klementieff is an actress that will say “absolutely, yes” to any sort of extra training.

Pom Klementieff as Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Many fans felt the bittersweet emotions of going to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 knowing that it would be the last time that James Gunn would gather his cosmic crew together for adventure. As we bid adieu to Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Nebula, and Groot, each character went in their own direction with Pom Klementieff’s Mantis cutting the cord from her protector and banter-mate – Drax. While the end of the feature promised that audiences had not seen the last of Star-Lord, the other stories were also left open-ended with Mantis’ fate being up in the air.

Moving from one action franchise to another, Pom Klementieff will next be seen in the aforementioned Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part I as well as its sequel film that’s scheduled for a release in 2024. Instead of being the sweet, sassy, and butt-kicking character we’ve come to know and love from the Guardians series, Klementieff will be taking a walk on the wild – and evil – side in both Mission: Impossible films.

Joining the likes of Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Czerny, and Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff will play an assassin known as Paris who is on the hunt for the film’s primary protagonists. With high-flying stunts, the seventh installment in the fan-favorite franchise promises to bring even more heart-pounding moments to a theater near you. See Klementieff, Cruise, and the rest of the gang in their adrenaline-fueled glory when Dead Reckoning Part I flies into theaters on July 12.
