The Mandalorian actor Katee Sackhoff recently took to Instagram to post a bubbly bathtub pic for a good cause. She promoted a new product, the Clean Impact AXD1 Body Scrub & Cleansing Bar, from her friend’s skincare line which also donates a portion of the proceeds to an organization called RxArt. According to Sackhoff, RxArt is an organization that hires artists to paint children’s hospitals and make them a more inspiring and healing environment.

While Katee Sackhoff is busy taking bubble baths for charity right now, we should be getting to see her fully armored up soon in the upcoming season of The Mandalorian. Her character Bo-Katan Kryze appeared prominently in the trailer for Season 3. This makes sense, considering much of the third season seems to be taking place on the planet of Mandalore.

Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze first appeared in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, also voiced by Sackhoff. Bo-Katan was born and raised as a Mandalorian on Mandalore, and her character arc has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. Throughout the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Bo-Katan was part of a terrorist cell, part of a resistance force to retake the planet from Darth Maul, and even the ruler of Mandalore at one point.

When we meet Katee Sackoff’s live-action version of Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian, she’s working on getting the Darksaber back from Moff Gideon. We find out that the Empire laid waste to Mandalore in an event called “The Great Purge” and Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon took the Darksaber from her. According to Mandalorian tradition, whoever wields the Darksaber is the rightful ruler of Mandalore.

In The Mandalorian, Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin (aka Mando) recruits Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan to help get Grogu back from Moff Gideon’s imprisonment. While they’re successful in their mission, Mando cuffs Gideon and accidentally takes custody of the Darksaber in the process. While Mando tries to give Bo-Katan the Darksaber, she refuses since it can only be won in combat (and her previous rule was contentious since she was also gifted the Darksaber in that exchange.)

Despite being allies in previous season, it seems likely we might see some conflict between Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan and Pascal’s Mando in the upcoming third season. After the Great Purge, Mandalore is largely fractured, and there aren’t many true Mandalorians left. Mando himself is a foundling, so it seems likely that Bo-Katan and her supporters may be looking to rightfully claim the Darksaber to start a new ruling body on Mandalore.

Fortunately, we won’t have long to wait to see how all of these plotlines pan out. We’ll get to see Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Grogu, and the rest of The Mandalorian cast when the third season premiere hits Disney+ on March 1. Until then, you could always go back to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and The Mandalorian Season 2 to catch up on Bo-Katan’s story and get hyped for the third season.
