See Jenna Ortega Busting Out Of A Gorgeous Strapless Gown
Jenna Ortega looks amazing on the SAG Awards red carpet in a Versace dress.
Jenna Ortega is currently most famous for starring as Wednesday Addams in her eponymous show on Netflix, but she is also swiftly gaining a reputation as one of the premiere fashionistas of her generation. A Jenna Ortega Twitter fan recently posted a picture and video of the actress on the red carpet of the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she absolutely killed in a long, black strapless gown.
It’s the kind of look that the Scream star is becoming famous for, combining sexiness, mystery, and goth vibes into one amazing package.
The dress Jenna Ortega wore to the SAG Awards was a vintage 1990s Versace design, which originally debuted in the 1994 Autumn Collection. The all-black dress is a combination of leather and lace, with a deep V-neckline and a gold-buckled belt around her mid-section; with a single shoulder strap, it appears to have been re-cut to be strapless.
Jenna Ortega was also wearing diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co., completing her fabulous outfit.
Jenna Ortega was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Wednesday, hence her appearance on the red carpet. The award ultimately went to Jean Smart for HBO’s Hacks (her second consecutive win in the category), who won out over Christina Applegate for Dead to Me, Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Ms. Maisel, and Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary.
Although Jenna Ortega ultimately did not win the SAG, she did get to go up on stage to co-present an award alongside The White Lotus star Aubrey Plaza; the two performed a brief sketch before announcing the winner, riffing on their shared reputation for icy, deadpan performances. The pair were presenting the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie, which went to Sam Elliott for his performance in the Yellowstone spin-off series 1883.
It will be interesting to see if Jenna Ortega continues to present with this kind of sexy, goth-inspired fashion as her career goes on and she expands into different acting roles. In addition to her role on Wednesday as the most intimidating member of the Addams family, Ortega is part of the current revival of the Scream horror franchise, which will soon have its sixth installment in theaters. She also starred in X, the first movie in Ti West’s trilogy of horror films with Mia Goth.
Jenna Ortega will soon be hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live, with musical guest The 1975. She will likely be promoting Wednesday, which was recently renewed for a second season by Netflix; while it took the streaming service a shockingly long time to officially announce it, it is not like it was ever really in doubt. The show was a mega-popular hit, one of Netflix’s biggest of the last year. Considering that it has someone with the radiance of Jenna Ortega as the lead, that should really be no surprise.
