Real-life superhero and actor Jeremy Renner is still recovering from his catastrophic snowplow accident earlier this year. On Instagram recently the star shared an update on his next project, Rennervations, a Disney+ series focused on purpose-built vehicles (PBV). In a twist of fate, the snowplow that ran over the Hawkeye star is also a PBV, but Renner seems to still be pumped about sharing the show with fans.

In the caption to his photo, Jeremy Renner shared “We are so very excited to share the #rennervations show with you all on @disneyplus coming very soon!!! As soon as I’m back on my feet, we are coming to YOU , all across the globe… I hope you’re ready !!!” Rennervations came about from the star’s own interest in creative fabricator culture and a desire to give back to those in need. Working on PBVs has long been a hobby for Renner and the Disney+ series is a passion project for the Avenger.

Unfortunately, the 2023 release date has been pushed back as Jeremy Renner goes through extensive therapy and surgery to repair his body after breaking over 30 bones in the New Year’s day accident. Renner was assisting his nephew when the snowplow malfunctioned and started advancing towards the pair. Faced with potentially life-threatening injuries just a month ago, it’s amazing how the Mayor of Kingstown star has been progressing.

Jeremy Renner’s drama series is currently airing on Paramount+ featuring the star as Mike McLusky, the “Mayor” of Kingstown, Michigan. The town only has one thriving business, incarceration, which touches on issues including corruption, inequality, and systemic racism. The show also stars Dianne West, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, and Derek Webster.

The series was filmed well before Jeremy Renner’s accident, though the star has been promoting it endlessly during his recovery. The Bourne Legacy star has been unendingly upbeat over social media over the past few weeks, first on his own recovery, promoting Mayor of Kingstown, and now promoting Rennervations. Fans of the star are just hoping that he’s able to recover and get back to living his life.

Any plans for Jeremy Renner to appear as Clint Barton in the MCU are understandable, likely on hold for the immediate future. His Disney+ series with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, the second Hawkeye, was a hit two years ago with talk of a second season. For now, nothing definite has been released about a second season, but given the major event films coming up quickly on the calendar, we’ll likely see Hawkeye at least one more time.

The upcoming Kang Dynasty and Secret War films are rumored to involve every actor from a Marvel property, including all three Spider-Men and the X-Men from the 20th Century Fox films. As an original Avenger, Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton could help bring closure to another major era in the largest film franchise on the planet.

All of that is dependent on the star’s own recovery process from injuries that could have killed him. At least Jeremy Renner’s spirits seem to be high at the moment and hopefully everyone can enjoy Rennervations when it’s finally released.
