With Scream 4’s Hayden Panettiere set to return to the franchise in next month’s Scream 6, several other actors from previous installments have expressed their desire to come back to the popular horror series. According to Comic Book, Scream 4‘s Alison Brie, who stars alongside Panettiere in the franchise’s fourth entry, joked that she was disappointed not to have been asked to return for the upcoming sequel. “Didn’t get the phone call, but I’ll be around for 7 if anybody’s listening,” she said.

When asked if she was aware of Panettiere’s return in Scream 6, Alison Brie stated, “I heard. I was like, ‘What, Rebecca Walters doesn’t have a twin sister who’s still alive?’” She went on to tease that she and her husband Dave Franco “are going to write Scream 7.”

In Scream 4, Alison Brie plays Sidney Prescott’s feisty assistant and publicist Rebecca Walters. Unlike Hayden Panettiere’s Kirby Reed, Brie’s character was killed rather brutally on-screen. In addition to being stabbed, she was thrown off the side of a building, where she fell several stories before smashing into a news van.

Although many fans agree that her character in Scream 4 is criminally underrated, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see Alison Brie in a future sequel. While several characters have suffered some serious injuries at the hands of Ghostface throughout the series and lived to tell about it, the franchise has never brought back anyone who has been declared 100% deceased. Even if Rebecca Walters did have a twin, the chances of her possessing the same snarky personality as her sister are extremely slim.

Scream 6 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 10. Even though Alison Brie won’t be making an appearance in the upcoming sequel, fans can rejoice in knowing that several other stars will be reprising their roles from previous Scream installments.

In addition to Hayden Panettiere, Courtney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenny Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Gooding will all return in the latest entry. Joining them are franchise newcomers Jack Champion, Samara Weaving, Josh Segarra, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Dermot Mulroney, and Henry Czerny.

Fortunately, since appearing in Scream 4, Alison Brie has made quite a name for herself in Hollywood. In addition to landing prominent roles on popular television shows like Community, GLOW, and BoJack Horseman, the 40-year-old actress has appeared in high-profile films such as Get Hard, The Lego Movie, and The Post. This year alone, the Golden Globes-nominated star has multiple projects on the horizon.

First up, Alison Brie will star alongside her husband Dave Franco in this month’s romantic comedy Somebody That I Used to Know. The film, which Franco also directed, is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 10. Jay Ellis, Kiersey Clemons, Danny Pudi, Haley Joel Osment, and Julie Hagerty also star.

The Disney+ series Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will also premiere on February 10. A far cry from her roles in films like Scream 4 and Get Hard, Alison Brie is set to voice an unspecified character in the animated children’s show. The story centers on a 13-year-old super-genius named Lunella, who accidentally brings ten-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex.
