See Alison Brie As A Sparkly Unicorn In A Tight Pink Top

Alison Brie looks magical as a sparkly pink unicorn.

Alison Brie is best known for wearing elaborate 1960s period-appropriate garb on the AMC series Mad Men and prim collegiate outfits on NBC’s Community, but her most recent look is more akin to her Netflix wrestling series GLOW. In that show, Alison Brie was frequently done up in elaborate, colorful costumes appropriate for the high drama of the ring, while in this Instagram picture, she is dressed as “Pink Flower Sparkle Unicorn.” According to the caption of the post, this was for a 5-year-old’s birthday party, and the results speak for themselves.

In the first picture in the set, Alison Brie is part of a three-person selfie along with her friends and fellow actresses Cyrina Fiallo and Julianna Guill. All three starred in the web series My Alibi together in 2008, which involved a group of high school students accused of pulling a prank are locked in a room and slowly reveal their explanations of how it could not have been them. Since then, the trio of actresses has also performed in a cover band called the Girls together.

But back to the outfit: the second picture in the Instagram set reveals Alison Brie to be wearing a form-fitting pair of high-waisted, hot-pink jeans along with a light pink, sleeveless top that shows just a bit of midriff. The Star Wars: Visions actress accessorizes this with an iridescent belt bag (or fanny pack, as it is also known), a multi-colored bob cut wig, and naturally, a unicorn horn. It is absolutely a whimsical outfit, and Alison Brie is absolutely pulling it off.

Even if she were not at a child’s birthday party, Alison Brie has a lot to celebrate. The recent news that the cult comedy series Community is finally and against all odds moving forward with a feature film was met with enthusiasm from fans who have campaigned for #sixseasonsandamovie for years. It is currently not precisely certain whether all the original cast members of Community will be returning for the film (which is set to stream on NBC’s Peacock platform), but Alison Brie is definitely going to be reprising the role of Annie Edison.

Not that Alison Brie has not kept busy in the years since Community was canceled, first by NBC and then by Yahoo (taking down the latter’s own streaming platform in the process). She starred for three seasons on the critically acclaimed Netflix series GLOW alongside Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron and was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Critic’s Choice awards during the run of the show. GLOW was set to be renewed for a fourth and final season, but was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic and ultimately canceled prematurely, which Alison Brie has called her greatest career heartbreak.

Currently, Alison Brie is starring in two films in 2022, both of which she co-wrote. The thriller Spin Me Round co-stars Audrey Plaza and was released in August, while the romantic comedy Somebody I Used to Know (co-written and directed by her spouse, Dave Franco) will release later this year. Alison Brie will also be guest-starring on the upcoming Marvel show Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur in 2023.
