One last time for 2012! One of the biggest pop culture sensations of this past year was PSY’s “Gangnam Style.” It was all over TV and the Internet and countless YouTube parodies that made people hungry for more. But now that 2012 is coming to a close, here’s one more (and most likely the last) “Gangnam Style” parody video, this time featuring the Transformers. Watch the video below.

There’s something unsettling about Megatron doing the “Gangnam Style” dance on top of Starscream. Now you have to wonder if Michael Bay will use this same material for Transformers 4 in 2014. It feels like “Gangnam Style” will be completely outdated by then but it might be slightly amusing for younger audiences. But, there is something really entertaining seeing a giant Computron and Devastator doing the “Gangnam Style” dance at the end of the video.

It seemed like “Gangnam Style” made the complete cycle of a one-hit wonder pop song. At first, it’s a catchy novelty, then it starts to become irritating, and lastly it’s welcoming and inviting again. But in the New Year, we should just stop with “Gangnam Style” and just keep it in 2012. Apparently, PSY feels the same way about “Gangnam Style” because he plans to retire it tonight in Times Square on New Year’s Eve during the iconic ball dropping ceremony.

“Being in Times Square on New Year’s Eve is already special — it’s the biggest stage in the universe — plus it’s my birthday, so, with all that, it may be the ending of ‘Gangnam Style,’” Psy told MTV News. “I mean, what better way to do it? It’s my biggest and most meaningful birthday.”

Let’s look forward to 2013 and the next one-hit wonder that we’ll all love for a few months and then completely forget about.
