We’ve seen a couple of new posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron drop over the last few days. There was that big chaotic jumble where all the members of the team show up, surrounded by a swirling cloud of Ultron’s flying robotic goons. There’s just too much going on. After that, we got a Iron Man character poster, and now another handful of the core members have their own one sheets. Also, like the last one, they’re way better than the messy collective offering.
The first new addition is Mark Ruffalo’s hulk. As you probably imagined, he’s big and green and way, way, way pissed off looking. When he gets that look in his eye, you better be moving along.
Scarlett Johansson shows up in Black Widow’s traditional black leather get up.
Chris Hemworth’s God of Thunder, Thor, shows for his own close up…
…as does S.H.I.E.L.D. BMOC Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Though given the current rogue state of the agency, you have to wonder what role he’s going to play in Age of Ultron. You also have to image that at least Captain America (Chris Evans) and likely Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will also get their own posters before all is said and done. It’s possible we’ll even get Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), but I wouldn’t be surprised if the newcomers get left out in the cold.
When Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) tries to implement a new peacekeeping program, the results are disastrous. As the villainous Ultron (voiced with perfect creepiness by James Spader) tries to implement a destructive plan, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are the only ones who can possibly stop him. It’s not going to be easy for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye to come together for this one, and tensions start to cause friction within the group of superheroes. We expect to see these issues boil over and come to a head in Captain America: Civil War next year.
