The Walking Dead universe continues to grow and evolve, taking its iconic characters to new and exciting locations. The spin-off series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, plunges viewers into the heart of New York City, where Negan and Maggie face swarms of the undead. Recently, a thrilling glimpse into the next chapter was offered through a brand-new trailer, teasing The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, where Norman Reedus’ character will fight to survive in a zombie-infested France.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon brings the franchise to Europe, but as for why the fan favorite character is in France, it’s still a mystery.

Although the trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon doesn’t reveal much, it offers some chilling visuals, including a ravaged Eiffel Tower. Additionally, a worn-out Daryl Dixon confides in a new character, Isabelle (played by Clémence Poésy), about the ill-fated decisions that brought him to France. While void of any major details about the upcoming series, the brief teaser is undoubtedly enough to leave fans wanting more.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon follows Daryl as he navigates a post-apocalyptic France. His primary mission is to find his way back home while avoiding hordes of the undead. As he makes his journey, however, the bonds he establishes along the way challenge his ultimate plan.

In addition to Norman Reedus and Clémence Poésy, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon stars Scotty Higgins, Gilbert Glenn Brown, Avant Strangel, William Sciortino, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, and Romain Levi. Angela Kang is the series’ creator, while David Zabel is the showrunner. Kang contributed to the original The Walking Dead series by writing 41 episodes and serving as a producer.

While Norman Reedus is returning for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, it’s unknown how many of his co-stars will make appearances, with fans waiting to see the extent of Melissa Mcbride’s involvement.

Announced in 2020, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon initially had Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride reprising their roles. By April 2022, filming logistics in Europe caused McBride to exit the series. And yet, Reedus teased the appearance of his co-star in the series, leaving the actual extent of McBride’s involvement up in the air until it actually airs.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, featuring Norman Reedus, is the newest and one of the most eagerly awaited additions to The Walking Dead universe. The series is set to premiere on September 10. Meanwhile, fans can preview the first 10 minutes on AMC+.

The inaugural character spin-off, The Walking Dead: Dead City, recently completed its first season and secured a renewal for a second. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon follows as the second character spin-off, with two seasons confirmed. Upon the conclusion of its first season, the third spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, will debut in 2024.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the second spin-off featuring characters from the originals eries, arriving in between Dead City and The Ones Who Live.

The Ones Who Live will bring back fan-favorites Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). Plot details for the series are being kept under wraps, but principal photography wrapped up in May. Along with Lincoln and Gurira, the upcoming show stars Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis Stokes/Anne and Lesley Ann Brandt as Pearl Thorne.

Needless to say, fans have plenty to look forward to from The Walking Dead universe. Although, Fear the Walking Dead is concluding its final eighth season later this year, there are plenty of other spin-offs on the horizon, including The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. If these series maintain their success, we will likely see even more spin-offs in the future.
