Rosario Dawson has made a powerful impression as Ahsoka Tano after her one appearance in The Mandalorian. Fans seem ecstatic with her portrayal of the character and it sounds like Disney is ready to put all their eggs in the Ahsoka Tano basket. We had already heard that there was a Disney+ series being prepped for the character, but a new report goes even further and says exactly how much more Ahsoka Tano we will be getting.

Insider Daniel Richtman (via We Got This Covered) is reporting that Disney is over the moon with how Rosario Dawson has been received as Ahsoka Tano, and that this enthusiasm has led them to sign the actress onto three seasons of the upcoming Ahsoka Tano live-action series on Disney+. If this scoop is true, it is one of the biggest endorsements we have heard come out of the Star Wars camp in quite some time. Though a number of different movies and projects have either fallen by the wayside or have yet to get off the ground, this potential news seems to put Ahsoka Tano at the top of Disney’s to-do list when it comes to Star Wars.

It is not surprising that the Mouse House would want to hammer Rosario Dawson down for at least three seasons of an Ahsoka Tano show. These Star Wars productions are expensive endeavors that are likely designed to only run for about three or four seasons total. We don’t know if The Mandalorian Season 3 could be that show’s final outing or not. And other Disney+ shows like the Cassian Andor series and the Obi-Wan Kenobi show also seem like they will be short orders. Cementing that the Ahsoka Tano show would be three seasons is a smart move by Disney if it’s true. Though, if the character remains popular and profitable enough, you can bet they will up that season order at the first opportunity.

It has been great seeing Rosario Dawson receive such adoration and support from the Star Wars fanbase. Though some have been determined to nitpick at Ahsoka’s arrival to the live-action Star Wars world, the overall response seems to be immensely positive. We still are not sure if Ahsoka will pop up in The Mandalorian again before the second season is over, but it has been clear that she is one of the show’s biggest success stories. Hearing that Disney wants to give the character a significant push is uplifting to fans who have loved the character ever since her debut in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Where will the Ahsoka Tano show fall into Disney’s timeline for these upcoming Star Wars shows on Disney+? We will have to wait and see, but it would not be surprising to hear that this project is getting put on the fast track. The fervor surrounding Rosario Dawson and her portrayal of Ahsoka Tano definitely needs to be capitalized on as soon as possible. If Disney is smart, they will start making some official announcements regarding the Ahsoka Tano series in order to keep fan excitement at a high level.
