See The Change The Batman Part II Is Making To Fix Robert Pattinson

By Britta DeVore | Updated

With DC Studios kicking itself into overdrive following a lackluster year that’s seen box office flop after box office flop, one film that audiences are keeping their eyes on is the return of Robert Pattinson in The Batman Part II. With Matt Reeves typing his fingers down to the bone on the next film’s script, fans are getting crafty and putting their designer chops to the test. In a fan post on Instagram, user subi.ozil shared a look at what the new Batsuit could look like.

In the image, we see Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne standing tall, ready to take on whatever the villains of Gotham have set up for him next. Donning an all-black Batsuit, the chest is emblazoned with the iconic Bat symbol. In his hands, The Batman Part II character holds his helmet, drawing in the gaze with blazing white eyes.

One Instagram user isn’t a fan, saying that the potential suit for The Batman Part II is leaning a bit too close to that of George Clooney’s suit in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin.

Judging by the comments, fans love what the Instagram artist has come up with for Robert Pattinson’s next look – or at least most of them do. One points to the white eyes as a favorite added piece while another compliments the suit as being close to the take done in Gotham Knights.

As for how things will turn out for Robert Pattinson’s new look in The Batman Part II, it’s anyone’s guess. With the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strike, productions are being pushed back one by one with the second installment of Matt Reeves’s series being no different. But one thing’s for sure, despite James Gunn and Peter Safran giving the ax to a handful of DC titles, this is one that certainly plans to move forward.

In fact, not only can audiences expect to see Robert Pattinson in The Batman Part II, but the filmmaker is already pairing up with Max for a series that will delve into the story of the Penguin. Most recently played by Colin Farrell, the series will focus on the Gotham villain’s hold on the city and how he became the feared crime boss.

The Batman Part II

With Robert Pattinson set to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in The Batman Part II, a handful of other characters can be expected to also make an appearance in the next film. While Joaquin Phoenix may be a standalone version of the villain Joker with the second film in his franchise, Joker Folie á Deux, on the way, the final moments of The Batman introduced Barry Keoghan as Reeves’ Joker. Setting up a spot for him in the sequel, we’re pumped to see more of the iconic villain in the next film.

After a year that’s seen the crash and burn of titles including Shazam: Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Blue Beetle, the time is now for Peter Safran and James Gunn’s DC Studios to grab the bull by the horns and bring the company back to glory. With Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot no longer playing their longtime roles as Superman and Wonder Woman, respectively, Robert Pattinson in The Batman Part II will be the closest thing we have to a long-running legacy star.
