Late Night With The Devil Is After Your Soul, See The Terrifying Proof

The movie Late Night With the Devil just released a new trailer, and it looks like a promising horror film for spring. The film stars David Dastmalchian as 1970s late-night TV host Jack Delroy, who invites a parapsychologist and the subject of her book on his show for a Halloween episode. What follows is a disturbing possession and a whole lot of disturbing imagery as the late-night show goes completely off the rails.

If Late Night With the Devil’s stellar trailer isn’t enough to convince you to check it out, horror maestro Stephen King also gave the film a glowing review, calling it “absolutely brilliant.”

Late Night With the Devil’s unique take on found footage is definitely an intriguing premise, which is no surprise considering the producers of Paranormal Activity and the surprise 2022 hit Barbarian. David Damastalchian also seems perfectly suited for the role, as he’s joined by a supporting cast that includes Laura Gordon and Ingrid Torelli. The film is co-written and co-directed by Cameron and Colin Cairnes.

With the early feedback it’s getting, it wouldn’t be surprising if the film becomes an early sleeper hit for the year.

Late Night With the Devil will have some hearty competition at the box office, though. The film is set to release on March 22, which is the same opening date for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and the Sydney Sweeney horror film Immaculate. It’s not even close to Halloween, but it seems like March might just be the scariest month at the movies this year.

Late Night With The Devil

Even if you don’t catch Late Night With the Devil in theaters, the film is scheduled for Shudder release about a month later, on April 19. If you prefer to watch terrifying films in the comfort of your own home, this might be a good way to watch them. With the movie filmed like a 1970s late-night talk show, this might actually end up being the most immersive way to watch them.

It seems like 2024 might also end up being David Damastalchian’s horror year, as the actor is also set to appear in the film Rosario, which is scheduled for a September release. Rosario follows a woman who is forced to spend the night with the corpse of her grandmother, whom supernatural forces have possessed. Emeraude Toubia stars in the Felipe Vargas-directed film, which also stars Jose Zuniga, Paul Ben-Victor, Emilia Faucher, Diana Lein, and Guillermo Garcia.

David Damastalchian also appeared in plenty of horror films last year, including the Dracula film The Last Voyage of the Demeter and The Boogeyman. He also appeared in one of the biggest movies of the year, Oppenheimer. We’ll have to wait and see if Late Night With the Devil can keep his good streak going.
