Feast your eyes on some easy-going dad rock performed by one of the biggest actors in the world and his band from the ‘90s. Deadline reveals that Keanu Reeves is back in bass slappin’ action alongside his bandmates, guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose and drummer Rob Mailhouse. The trio has stepped out to announce that their first album in 23 years, titled Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, is on the way and even dropped a music video to commemorate the occasion.

The video for the band’s first single off the album, “Everything Turns Around,” sees the musicians blasting out their ‘90s vibes for the first time since the turn of the millennium. To a backdrop of various spots in Los Angeles, Rob Mailhouse, Bret Domrose, and Keanu Reeves jam on their instruments for some throwback sound to one of the best decades for rock.

Keanu Reeves and the rest of Dogstar revealed they would be setting out on a 25+ date headlining tour that will see them crossing North America.

And, if you were wondering, of course, the John Wick star is wearing an all-black ensemble and looking as cool as ever.

In an Instagram post, the band told fans to watch out for the album’s drop on October 6 via their label, Dillon Street Records. The post also told fans to strike while the iron was hot as a small amount of signed vinyl was now available at their Official Shop.

The magic of Dogstar began in 1991 after Keanu Reeves and Rob Mailhouse met at a grocery store and struck up a friendship.

Further stoking the flames of excitement, Keanu Reeves and the rest of Dogstar also revealed they would be setting out on a 25+ date headlining tour that will see them crossing North America and even dipping into Japan following the opening show in Hermosa Beach, California.

Dogstar’s Reunion

Keanu Reeves and his mates first got the band back together in late May for what was to be a one-off performance at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival. Getting back in the groove with his band was something quite refreshing for The Matrix star as even then, he was excited at the prospect of Dogstar reuniting and coming back with a vengeance to create a new album and tour the country all over again.

The magic of Dogstar began in 1991 after Keanu Reeves and Rob Mailhouse met at a grocery store and struck up a friendship – a very ‘90s meet-cute that would seldomly happen today. Along with playing bass, Reeves also sings backup vocals, harmonizing with Bret Domrose’s main melodies.

Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 4

And, for the fans of Keanu Reeves’ acting, there’s no need to worry as it appears that the star plans to keep his filming schedule alongside his now stacked touring docket. While we last spotted the Constantine star in John Wick: Chapter 4, he’s as busy as ever bringing a new spin-off to the assassins’ fold in the highly-anticipated Ballerina.

There, he’ll appear alongside Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick in a movie about the titular character who we first met in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Beyond Ballerina, no further movies in the John Wick universe have been revealed meaning that until that point, Keanu Reeves has plenty of time to rock out with Dogstar. Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible as every show is bound to be a sellout.
