Jennifer Lawrence was injured on the set of her latest film, Don’t Look Up, when a shattered window looks to have cut Lawrence on her eyelid. While the injury seems to not have been too bad, considering Lawrence is planning to return to set after the weekend, the production did have to wrap filming for the day.

Before the injury occurred, Jennifer Lawrence and Timothée Chalamet had filmed a few other scenes, one which reportedly has the two actors kissing on a mattress with a six-pack of beer, and another scene where they are caught by police after spray-painting a window of the Enterprise Building in Brockton, Massachusetts. The injury happened when a trash can was thrown into a window of the Enterprise Building, in what was supposedly a different scene, which led to Lawrence getting injured on the set. Chalamet was also checked for injuries, but it looks like the actor wasn’t harmed.

Don’t Look Up is the latest comedic drama from writer-director Adam McKay, who previously made Anchorman and The Other Guys before shifting to Oscar-nominated films like The Big Short and Vice. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence star in this latest film, about two astronomers who try to warn mankind about an asteroid that is going to destroy Earth. Despite their vigilance in trying to get everyone – including the president – to worry about the oncoming threat, their claims fall on deaf ears.

In addition to Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, Don’t Look Up has an impressive ensemble cast. This packed film includes Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Himesh Patel, Matthew Perry, Tyler Perry, Chris Evans, Ron Perlman, Himesh Patel, and Scott Mescudi. Don’t Look Up is coming to Netflix, although it’s unclear when the film will be released. With a cast like that and McKay’s recent films receiving plenty of awards, expect Don’t Look Up to be Netflix’s big Oscar film for the end of 2021.

But Jennifer Lawrence has been relatively quiet in recent years, after a pretty busy start to the 2010s. Her last film was Dark Phoenix, where she made what is likely to be her last appearance as Mystique in the X-Men franchise. Prior to that, Lawrence’s last few films have included 2018’s Red Sparrow, 2017’s mother!, and 2016’s Passengers.

Yet after some time off, it looks as though 2021 will be a big year for Jennifer Lawrence. Not only is she starring in Don’t Look Up, but she’s also finished filming Red, White and Water. The upcoming drama from first-time feature director Lila Neugebauer co-stars Atlanta and Eternals’ Brian Tyree Henry and will be distributed by A24. As with Don’t Look Up, it’s unclear when Red, White and Water will be coming out, but an A24 film starring Lawrence certainly also seems like an end of the year release as well.

Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like Jennifer Lawrence suffered any major injuries on the set of Don’t Look Up, and, hopefully, the film won’t have any more incidents of this nature.
