Have you ever watched a horror movie and thought to yourself, “I wonder what it would be like to get chased by one of these maniacs?” Well, now you will be given the chance to experience that exact fear, as Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are going to be bringing in one of the most famous slashers. As part of the Halloween Horror Nights annual event, the house from the original Halloween is being brought as a maze for guests to go through. Not only that, but Michael Myers himself will be stalking everyone that dares enter. You can see the teaser trailer for the event below:

The hilarious nature of the teaser trailer shows a woman watching a horror movie and questioning why the person likely being slaughtered has gone into whatever area they are being slaughtered in. That is a question that we have all likely asked ourselves. This person, aptly coined “The Skeptic” gets up and is met by Michael Myers who disappears with the flicker of light. Although we are not given what the maze looks like, reports state that it will look exactly as it did in the 1978 horror classic, Halloween. Complete with the knife-wielding maniac Myers chasing people through the area. There is a quick shot of some patrons screaming as they are slashed at, so that could be giving fans a bit about what might happen in this classic house.

Halloween came out in 1978 and has become one of the biggest horror franchises in the history of cinema. Although many have tried through the decades, it appears that Michael Myers just won’t die. Although there has been a core slate of films, the franchise has been rebooted twice. One by famed musician and horror aficionado, Rob Zombie. The other reboot happened in 2018, when a direct sequel to the original film came out, which holds the same title. The sequel to 2018’s Halloween was released in 2021, and it was called Halloween Kills. There is meant to be a third film that is said to end this reboot trilogy called, Halloween Ends. This could end the franchise altogether or leave it open to be revised by another creative mind.

Halloween has stood the test of time and helped put John Carpenter on the map. There is a huge reason why this franchise and Michael Myers refuse to die because even though some of the fear of the character is outdated, people still show up in droves to see the unstoppable man lay waste to the unfortunate people he comes across. We are excited to see how this new maze is going to capture that same fear.

Halloween Horror Nights begin in September and will run until the end of October. Fans at both the Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will get to step into the fear of the most famous house in horror. Be on your guard, you never know if you will be able to escape his clutches and leave Michael Myers’s house in Haddonfield, Illinois alive. Ok, no one is going to die, but we thought we would lean into the horror aspect of this story. We can’t wait to see this new maze.
