The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will carry on the tradition of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s more espionage focused stories, and fans have been waiting to catch a real glimpse at what the two titular heroes will look like in the upcoming Disney+ streaming series. Now, it looks like Marvel has let the cat out of the bag and revealed the new costumes for these two successors to the Captain America throne.

Check out this new promotional artwork that has been released for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which gives us our best look at the new outfits both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes will be sporting in the show:

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier also released solo pieces of art for each hero. You can look at those below:

These new outfits aren’t enormous deviations from the costumes we have seen the Falcon and the Winter Soldier wear in past incarnations, but there are enough differences here to make them distinct enough for them to stand out on their own. But there is one more piece of promotional artwork that was released, and it features a character we have not seen a lot of in regards to this upcoming show. Feast your peepers on this:

That is Sharon Carter, the niece of Captain America’s love interest, Peggy Carter. She was last seen helping Captain America with his plan to rescue Bucky Barnes. After that, she was recorded as one of the victims of Thanos’s infamous snap. We have not seen her since that was reversed, but this new piece of promotional art seems to indicate that she is a fugitive. Exactly what kind of role will she be playing in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier? It’s assumed she will be an ally to the heroes, but just how official a role will that be?

With Disney+ only becoming more powerful a streaming service with each passing day, it is only a matter of time before we start to see shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier become more crucial pieces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ever-growing puzzle. While all of the other ancillary Marvel shows have not felt like they were necessary viewing in order to understand what was going on in the larger storyline, it definitely looks like the Disney+ Marvel shows will be vital narratives if you want to follow along with the overarching story.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to premiere on Disney+ at some point in 2021. WandaVision is going to be the first of this new wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows and it will land on the streaming service next month. Are viewers going to be hooked to these shows like they are Disney+’s current mega-hit The Mandalorian? It has been over a year since we last got a Marvel Cinematic Universe project (Spider-Man: Far From Home). Are people still chomping at the bit to return to that world? We will have to wait and see starting next month.
