Chris Pratt is no stranger to sci-fi. While first making a name for himself in the absurdly popular comedy series Parks and Recreation, the actor has gone on to star in one of the world’s biggest, most beloved franchises: The Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, he has played the lead in the Jurassic World franchise since 2015, with his role in the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion set to be his final outing in that series. Now, he is returning to the genre yet again for the hotly anticipated sci-fi film The Tomorrow War.

We finally have our first look at Chris Pratt’s The Tomorrow War. You can check out the new images below:

Honestly, judging from these five photos, the film looks awesome. Hopefully, Chris Pratt turns in a performance that ends up being just as memorable as his role as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From the looks of it, the film looks like it will showcase Pratt at his most intense and most physical. And we are definitely here for that.

In The Tomorrow War, Chris Pratt portrays Dan Forester, but not much is known about the size or nature of his role yet. All we know is that the plot will revolve around time travelers returning to the past to recruit soldiers for a war in the future. Chris Pratt looks to be an important part of that, but maybe he’s a secret villain we don’t know about yet. It is anyone’s guess at this point.

In addition to Chris Pratt, the film’s cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Keith Powers, Mike Mitchell, and Sam Richardson. Robot Chicken director Chris McKay directed the film, working from a script by Zach Dean. David s. Goyer, Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, Don Granger, Jules Daly, and Adam Kolbrenner produced the movie, while Pratt is also serving as an executive producer for the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Up next for Chris Pratt is Thor: Love and Thunder, which will see the star returning to one of his most famous roles alongside Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman. He will also reprise his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, but there are currently no release dates set for either of those projects. He also recently appeared in Pixar’s Onward, The Kid, Avengers: Endgame, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.

The Tomorrow War will now hit Amazon Prime Video on July 2, 2021. You can catch Chris Pratt then, or you can go revisit him in one of the many other roles he has played. After The Tomorrow War, you can see him causing intergalactic trouble in Taika Waititi’s highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters next May.
