The Career Of David Gail

David Gail was born in Tampa, Florida, in 1965. He began his television career in the early ’90s with bit parts on Growing Pains, Doogie Howser, M.D., and a two-episode stint on Matlock. Gail made his first appearance on Beverly Hills 90210 during the series’ first season as a character completely unrelated to Stuart Carson, named simply Tom.

Two years later, Gail would return to Beverly Hills to woo Shannon Doherty’s character for seven episodes.

David Gail After Beverly Hills 90210

After 90210, Gail would star in back-to-back one-season dramas. The first was Robin’s Hoods, a series revolving around an attorney, Brett Robin, who, rather than jailing criminals, allows them to live together as part of a rehabilitation project.

David Gail followed Robin’s Hoods with Savannah, a series following three best friends who grew up together in Savannah, Georgia. Gail made his first foray into both comic-book adaptations and videogames with a role in the 2019 adventure game Blacksad: Under the Skin. The game was a Telltale Games-style detective adventure based on a Spanish comic book of the same name.

Blacksad was Gail’s last official project before his death.
