Zendaya is in Venice, apparently. The Euphoria star posted an Instagram video of herself modeling a stunning black dress across the Venitian lagoon from St. Mark’s Basilica, the 1000-year-old Cathedral, with its iconic bell tower dominating the skyline. Her post didn’t explain much about what brought her to the gorgeous Italian city, simply stating, “Last night was a dream” and tagging the Italian fashion brand Bulgari.

Zendaya’s black, off-the-shoulder dress was designed by London-based fashion designer Richard Quinn. Quinn posted a video of himself drawing the dress design on his own Instagram page, followed by a video of Zendaya wearing it both in the outdoor photo shoot and at Bulgari’s Mediterranea High Jewelry celebration at the Palazzo Ducale — the Venetian palace where the Doge of Venice lived until Napoleon took over the city in 1797.

Featuring prominently around Zendaya’s neck is a jeweled, snake-shaped — part of Bulgari’s Serpenti line. The photoshoot was undoubtedly meant to showcase the gold-and-diamond necklace since the Bulgari event was held to unveil the company’s 2023 Mediterranea High Jewelry line. Along with jewelry, the 140-year-old fashion house also sells watches, perfumes, and other fashion accessories.

While he’s not featured in the photo shoot, Zendaya’s boyfriend, Tom Holland, reportedly joined Zendaya on her trip to Venice. Both stars were spotted taking a boat ride around the famously water-filled city just one day before the fashion event. Holland and Zendaya have been together since 2017 — the same year both starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Zendaya wasn’t the only superstar that appeared at Bulgari’s Mediterranea High Jewelry celebration. Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway also appeared, wearing a Hooded Gold and Silver and a diamond necklace with giant pink gemstones. Citadel star Priyanka Chopra was also featured at the event, wearing a deep red gown and a necklace with multi-colored gemstones from Bulgari’s ‘Fairy Wings’ collection.

Zendaya, Hathaway, and Chopra are all official Bulgari ambassadors, so it’s no surprise to see the three superstars sporting the fashion house’s latest designs. Hathaway and Zendaya have appeared together to promote Bulgari jewelry before, with both appearing in the short film Unexpected Wonders, which was produced to feature the Bulgari brand. The short film was created by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, who won the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Bafta Award for his 2013 film The Great Beauty.

Zendaya has a lot more going on than simply being a fashion model, of course. She will play a prominent role in Dune: Part 2, which will release in November of 2023, along with the tennis-themed romance Challengers, which will release in August. There are also plans to begin filming the third season of the HBO series Euphoria later this year.

Zendaya also turned some heads this April after making a surprise appearance at Coachella, singing alongside Timothy Lee “Labrinth” McKenzie. She performed two songs from Euphoria — “All for Us” and “I’m Tired.” Zendaya had a prosperous music career after releasing her singles “Swag It Out” and “Watch Me” in 2011, but abandoned music after finding success in Hollywood.
