Sofia Vergara Poses In A Strappy Bikini In New Post
Sofia Vergara took part in the traditional Throwback Thursday tradition by posting a picture of herself in a revelaing strappy bikini.
There’s nothing like a good Throwback Thursday post and Sofia Vergara certainly knows how to deliver them. In her post, she hit fans with a snippet of a photoshoot she took in her home country of Colombia, donning a black bikini with a wood backdrop. Check out the post below:
While Sofia Vergara has time to bless fans with the occasional #tbt post, she seems to be staying pretty busy outside of social media. She’s currently filming a Netflix mini-series called Griselda where she plays the lead role. Griselda is based on the real-life Colombian cartel lady Griselda Blanco. Blanco was a mother who created one of the biggest and most profitable cartels in history. She became known as the Black Widow and imported and sold cocaine for Pablo Escobar’s Medellin cartel. It seems like Sofia Vergara will have to play a pretty ruthless role here, taking a bit of a left turn from her last big role in Modern Family. Of course, we’re sure she’s going to nail the role. Griselda also stars Orlando Pineda, Jose Velazquez, Fredy Yate, and more.
We wouldn’t be too surprised if Griselda ended up netting Sofia Vergara another Emmy nom. She was nominated four times over the course of Modern Family, but never managed to secure one of the trophies. Perhaps a more dramatic role will get her the win this time around. Modern Family ended fairly recently, wrapping up its run in 2020 with a two-part series finale. The show started in 2009 and was a critically-acclaimed comedy series, thanks in no small part to Vergara’s turn as the sweet, but sassy Gloria Delgado-Pritchett. This was undoubtedly one of the longest-running roles of Vergara’s career, so she’ll likely have more time than ever to take on new and exciting roles in the near future.
Sofia Vergara’s most recent movie was an animated feature called Koati, where she played a villainous snake. Though the film flew relatively under-the-radar, it does have pretty good reviews from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The film might be worth your time, especially if you have kids.
While we wait for the next project from Sofia Vergara, her Instagram is going to probably be the best way to keep up with her. Fortunately for fans, she’s pretty active on the platform, posting frequent updates and giving us gems like her most recent Throwback Thursday post. Of course, Vergara is as active in the modeling world as ever, so she also posts more recent photoshoots, including products and brands that she’s modeling. Her Instagram profile definitely gives you a little bit of everything. She also regularly posts candid shots with friends and her fellow actor and husband Joe Manganiello.
We, unfortunately, don’t have a release date for her upcoming Netflix series, though it is likely to be revealed in the near future. At the very least, you can see her husband in the film, Metal Lords, which releases on April 8th. Manganiello is currently cast in an unnamed role for that film.
