With Christmas just a few months away, Christian Ricci is showing off one of her outfits for the festive season. In a post on Instagram, the Emmy-nominated actress is seen posing in a black mesh Dion Lee dress alongside her husband, Mark Hampton. Her look is complimented by crystal-embellished Prada platforms, sparkling Lele Sadoughi earrings, bold red lipstick, and smokey eye makeup. The 42-year-old’s bangs frame her face beautifully as her brown hair is swept back into a ponytail.
The image is part of Christina Ricci’s Make Merry Campaign in partnership with Nordstrom which says the holidays are a time to be a little extra. Whether it’s with rhinestone-encrusted heels, a plush velvet jacket, or ultra-indulgent skin care, the retailer’s holiday range has every luxurious item one can think of. As with any Hollywood red carpet ensemble, the 42-year-old’s dress is the star of the show. Though, some of her fans may disagree.
Speaking about the campaign, Christian Ricci says when it comes to giving and receiving gifts, she has her eye on a beautiful Saint Laurent bag and Diptyque candles. “Mark has his eye on some Saint Laurent shoes and a new wallet,” she said via the Nordstrom website. During the coming weeks, the Adams Family alum will share her picks for gifts that will amaze shoppers, from lavish home decor and glam beauty finds to glitzy accessories.
Away from holiday shopping campaigns, the actress is preparing for the second season of Yellowjackets. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the popular drama series premiered in 2021 and received critical acclaim for its story and performances. Its accolades include seven Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress for Melanie Lynskey, and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Christina Ricci.
Set in 1996, the Christina Ricci-led series follows a team of New Jersey high school soccer players traveling to Seattle for a national tournament. While flying over Canada, their plane crashes somewhere in the northern wilderness. The story chronicles their descent over 19 months from a complicated, thriving team to savage tribe-like clans. It also tracks the lives they’ve attempted to piece together over two decades later, proving that the past is haunting, and what began in the wilderness isn’t over.
Following its success, Yellowjackets was renewed for a second season in December 2021, with Elijah Wood joining the cast. The 41-year-old will play Walter, a dedicated citizen detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways that she won’t see coming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is the third new person to join the show’s present-day story arc and the first to not be playing an adult version of an established character.
Along with Christina Ricci, Yellowjackets features an ensemble cast that features the talents of Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Sammi Hanratty, Liv Hewson, and Courtney Eaton as the group of teenagers involved in the plane crash. Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell portray their adult counterparts. There is currently no exact premiere date for the second season.
